  8. Very interesting.

I have used Czech & Speake Cambridge and Oxford. Wonderful soap with great performance and scent. The Fine Lavender Pour Homme is a very close match should you decide to try it.

I have been eyeing a couple of other hard soaps. LEA Classic from Spain and Antiga Barbearia de Bairro Shaving Soap from Portugal. I am slowly trying to move to hard soaps as I finish stuff up.
  9. :thanks:

  10. I don't know where all this started but lately I have been getting lectures about safety and health. This is a new thing in our household. Sadly my daughters have picked it up too. Now I have 3 bosses.
  11. Tim, I’m far from an expert, but I feel my shave with the Feather was much smoother than with the Dovo. Now that may be due to messed up stropping ability on my part, but the shave with the Feather reminded me of the feel I get from my AC razors. My son, Ben, who has shaved with a variety of DE shavettes told me that the Feather SS shaves differently, not better or worse, just differently. The AC blades are thicker. That may have something to do with it. In fact, he says that the DX Feathers shave like his straights. He’s sitting here with me reading your post. That’s all I got! :)
  12. We were really by ourselves. We were far away from the staff. We just had pizza slices so there wasn't any staff involved.
  13. Thanks Jeff! I did a lot of talking. Joe is more subdued, but I did give him his chances to speak. I was always a poor Monopoly player.
  14. :signs011:

Except I have four.....at least counting the female dog when it's nightly sofa time.

I added AC in the garage back in early May, goes great along with the 42 inch TV/PS4/Surround system. Covid 19 family shut in....:prrr:
  15. Thanks, Blair! I love the cold stuff.

    Thank you, Jeff!

A very nice quick, but relaxing, Canada Day shave today. For Shave like an Emperor I will use Italian products for soaps and brushes. For today, the new Desert Vetiver was up, and it is an excellent product. The scent is already a winner for me after 2 uses.
I had two good passes with the Floating Head. It may have been a basic razor back in the day, but they are fairly hard to get ahold of these days. I certainly felt like a Caesar using it today.
Have a great Canada Day to all my fellow Canucks out there!
  17. Nice setup and photo, Jason!
  18. Wonderful picture and shave, Jason! Happy Canada Day!
