  1. Tim, I have a sample size of the Stirling Agar. It is a nicely scented soap. The King of Oud splash is amazing. I am going to have to investigate more Oud based soaps when I finish Stallion. Can’t go wrong with the Razorock Stallion. It has a very nice scent and a wonderful lather. I hear the RR Tuscan Oud is very nice.
  2. Great shave and report, Blair! That Drew Dick looks like a scimitar! Glad you enjoyed the Nancy Boy. I’m on my second tub.
  3. Excellent results, Jeff! Good face freezer to start the day early.
  4. Thanks, Perry!

  5. Wow! Wonderful gear from top to bottom, Pierpaolo.
  6. Keith, we would have loved your company.
  7. Great. Another enabler with the SV soaps. I'm getting weak....
    Awesome photo and shave, Jason!
  8. Very nice, Mark!
  9. You’re spot on with that one, Andrew! The nice thing about O.R. Is that you can reapply it over the course of a hot day! Wonderfully cooling!
  10. Thank you Gary.

  11. Thanks for the info on the L2, Jim. You probably just saved me some money. I'm happy with the L1, yet wondered if I was missing out.
  12. Excellent shave and photo, Blair! I enjoyed reading your review.
  13. Wonderful shave Jim. That brush looks real nice. I keep tempting myself to pull the trigger for it.
  14. You are right about the Omega Pros rising in popularity as people started turning their own handles. A $10 knot easily removed from a 10 cent handle...
That Ed Price is certainly fit for an Emperor, Keith. Didn't know that RR (TFS in this case) made the first dupes, to be honest.
  15. Well I'm packed to move, so all I have left out is my Rex Ambassador, Persona blue blades(USA) Crown Shaving Pre-Shave (if not showering before) and Arko or Tabac stick
So I'm going to mostly just change around my razor settings see what's the minimum required to get me a comfortable three pass BBS on head and face and DFS two pass. No cheating by using the Lupo as a touchup.
I'll give a 1000 word report twice daily.
Actually I'll just jump in now and then.
  16. Nice report, Paul! Excellent finish with Skin Bracer.

    Ralph Lauren Safari~~Simpson~~Gillette/Polsilver
Another rock-hard soap, the Ralph Lauren Safari.
While I lightly bloomed it, I should have doused it.
Picked up plenty of soap, but I don't relish the thought of scrubbing my Simpson knots
    to do so.
Also, when I first acquired this soap, my initial thought was this is an AoS sandalwood clone.
After using it a few times, that's not the case.
    Indeed, from basenotes.net:

(these notes refer to the Safari cologne, but it's close enough)
    I
bowl-lathered the soap and as Tim has recently pointed out, it got a little fluffy.
Only through vigorous "slapping" whilst face-lathering, was I able to achieve my desired consistency.
The Polsilver blade in its second appearance, really mowed down the 24 hour stubble.
I admire the head of the Old Type, as it is quite easy to maneuver and has
no trouble reaching the nooks and crannies on my face.
The Safari AS had some not-so-subtle burn, but the scent is worth it.
  18. Stunning, Gary! Great shave and photo.
  19. I always love the originality of that baseplate every time you show it off, Jim. That brush handle is a stunner as well. Awesome!
