  1. Fantastic Imperial shave Primo.

  2. Thank you Jason. The more I use the brush the more appreciate the effort that went into making it. The Simpson knot holds enough lather to throw a boat load around the room.

  7. Great shave, Joseph!
Thanks, Jason! Besides the great shaves the Apollo gives my favorite feature is the handle.
Wonderful shave, picture and report, Bruce!
I admit to palm stropping my Gem PTFE blades per @clint64 advice. Not uncommon to have a rough side that a quick palm strop straightens out. My first shave with my Sabre L2 resulted in three weepers in just the first two strokes. Issue resolved since taking Clints advice.

Apparently I am an emperor who needs some secretarial help, as my picture keeps posting sideways and it’s beneath me to find out the details of how to correct it. You know; cause I’m busy doing emperor stuff. Anyhoo,, the Saposino Verisino is Italian and overpriced, the aristocrat is gold, and the gel tip badger in spalted maple is one of my favorites. Despite the fact that the guy on the front of the Fine Platinum spritzer looks more like a vacuum salesman from the 50s than part of the emperor’s crew, the scent is one that any emperor would be proud to wear.

Also while I did face lather today, please note the @jtspartan wash basin available for bowl lathering later in the month. Normally I would have one of the vestal virgins whip up the lather for me, but they’re busy peeling grapes today, so I’m roughing it.
  9. Jeff, you have been astonishing me with your progress on edge forward shaving devices. I tip my hat.

Do not overlook Feather ProGuard blades. While I have not shaved with anything that severs facial hair as efficiently as a Professional Super, they are surprisingly pleasant.

I originally felt that a ProGuard was sissyfied. They are smooth shavers and will outlast the Supers. More forgiving and might avoid the rolling eye treatment too.

    They are Max Headroom approved!
  10. Nice, Randy!

  11. I couldn’t scrape up any packaging with a Greek god on it, like you did Jim. That pretty much makes me an emperor second class compared to you! I gotta work on my game.
