A little on the smaller size in length at about a 2 1/4” blade, but how could I pass up a rifle barrel steel razor?!??? :)

One of my favorite bay rums... little tea and lime twist to the scent.

It was good. I could probably mute that spike to make sure it doesn’t dig into the hollow of my neck, but that is common with the shorter blades for me. Went up to a Shapton 16k and then spent some time on a black Ark... seemed to like it.

The TSD Iced Lemongrass Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #413 Two-band Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Henry Taylor straight gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Granddad's Blend AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Shave 130 today, the edge is if anything noticeably better over the last 2-3 shaves. The Latvian linen and roo seem to be helping. Both are very thin and flexible. The only other change has been going back to Santa Maria Novella shaving cream, which I used a lot early on and is just one of the very best SR soaps that there is. IMO. Again, no tugging. Post shave strooping was again 40 Latvian linen and 80 roo.

Soap was SMN lathered with a Keyhole 3, and the balm was ABC almond in the Cointreau bottle.

It’s a piece of raw 3” x 24” (75mm x 600mm) leather bought off eBay. I can send you a link if you want. I punched a hole in one end and put my own hardware on it. BTW, it’s thin enough to rollup and put in a pill bottle for travel!

Same for the linen, I bought it from a very nice lady on Etsy. It took about 6 weeks for it to get here.

Happy Fourth of July - it was only fitting that my shave today be with some American steel on loan from @DaltonGang. Who can resist a smile like this one? It made both the XTG passes on my neck and the ATG passes easier than usual. Thanks for the shave experience Scott :happy088:
