That's good you were able to retain the bookings through this pandemic. As for the July and August weather, you might say YMMV.

Thank you for asking Andrew. The water department repaired the lines mid afternoon yesterday so all is good at the homestead.

I am sorry if I implied an us vs them. I enjoy both SR and DE shaves. I just tend to lean more towards the SR lately, mainly due the the time I now have in the morning. Also, the history behind the razors, bo H types is cool. My son is going to have a wonderful collection one day. I have to start cataloging each so he knows a little history behind them.

Thank you, Andrew! One of my top scents. It's polarizing. A person is just as likely to hate it as love it.

Thanks, Joseph! Stirling puts out wonderful products. Some people classify them as second-tier. I beg to differ.

    Thanks Gary!

Thank you Clint! I'm still considering a forced patina. How about you?

    Thanks Jim!

    Thank you Joe!

Busy, busy, busy! I’ll try to catch up later in the day. Time for a two pass shave with only minimal touch ups allowed. Is the lightweight aluminum Lupo and a third-use polsilver up to the task? Yup!

    Gear
    • Razor: Linuxguile Lupo
    • Blade: Polsilver Super Iridium (3)
    • Brush: The JOmegan Boar
    • Soap: Stirling Iced Pineapple
    • Menthol: Stirling Frost Drops
    • AS: Pinaud Citrus Musk (1 Frost Drop)
    • Balm: Stirling Glacial Unscented--1 small drop applied to a lighlty wetted hand

    The Shave
The bowl lathering breakthrough on the very first day of the month has produced repeatable results. I’ll probably keep at it for the rest of the week, then move on to applying the shave stick directly to my face and face lathering.

For my 2 pass shave today, I went WTG for the first, and a XTG/ATG mix on the second. Some slight touching up at the corners of the mouth, and a swipe at the chin were the extent of my touch ups. I was not trying for BBS, and didn’t accidentally get it either--but got pretty close. If it didn’t quite hit near BBS, then it is certainly the Darned Finest Shave a person can get without it earning its wings. Very enjoyable results and no irritation.

    Have a great weekend! :D

awesome shave Tim.i would try using a same routine for a week.same shave, technique, soap ,blade .etc.see if it perfects itself..just a try out..:).if you adjust the carb every day it will falter.sometimes the engine just needs to adapt and the carbon gets blown out..

Actually, Joe, I was referencing a conversation with the other Long Island Joe. You’ve never implied that in any of our conversations. With respect to your son, he’ll be a very fortunate young man. I have my father’s and grandfather’s Safety razors just because I came across them in the process of cleaning out my parents’ home. Having an enumerated and summarized collection is really very special! He’s a fortunate young man.
