Actually, I’m a sesame bagel with pepperoni & Swiss. It’s called the “To heck with nutrition” Special.
First choice: Lox and veggie cream cheese with a slice of red onion on an everything bagel. Runner-up: A psuedo-reuben - substitute pastrami for the corned beef, and stone-ground mustard for the dressing.
Lox, where I live if you ask for lox they will ask you do you want a key or combination lock? The only and I mean only thing I miss living in NY is the food. Sent from my SM-T387V using Tapatalk
Which raises the question "Where did you live in NY?", downstate in Corona Central, the north country, or the Finger Lakes/North Coast region?
Born in the Bronx, my parents bought a house in Yonkers ny my last year in high school (1959) and when I had a family white plains ny. Left 1983. Sent from my SM-T387V using Tapatalk
Leave it to an Italian to put these other sandwiches to shame! Is that food or art? In Italy, food is art! Now I’m hungry and I don’t know how to make that sandwich.
Thank you. Actually It's a great "panino", as we say in Italy. The link can easily explain what to do ...
Yep, you've mailed a couple of auction items to me, and apparently even driven through my neighborhood, although the falls would be a bit longer walk.
I'm from Berlin, Germany - so of course it's german-turkish version of Döner Kebab, invented here by turkish immigrants - whether it's 'pide arası döner" (in pita bread) or "dürum döner" (rolled in Yufka) - best sandwich ever! Then Falafel/Shawarma and Grilled Cheese (which is not widely known here).
I didn't see peanut butter & banana so I'll have to go with grilled cheese...although I have recently discovered the French dip
