  5. That's a bummer you had to toss most of the order. Bay Rum is another that wasn't my jam. Pretty much straight clove to my nose. If I'm interested in a scent from them, I'll order a bar of the bath soap. That usually gives enough of the scent info to decide whether the shaving soap is something I'd order. Sometimes a particular scent is fine for a bath soap, yet not something I'd want to shave with. Or, sometimes it's a flat out "No". Given that they stock about 40 scents at any given time, there's bound to be something for just about anyone. It's just a matter of figuring out which one(s). Can't deny the performance and value of anything they sell though.

  6. Nah, you need another bottle to extend the period of time before any dirt is thrown your way.

  10. You're so right. That's true of any hobby. Fortunately, they don't reside in the 30DC. There's way more "Stirling love" here than any other forum. There is also a lot more friendliness here. Seldom do you see folks come to virtual blows on TSD.

  19. Thanks Joe :). I saw the fireworks in NYC, along with Frank's New Yorrrrrrrk. After that and the DC fireworks before, I was all fireworked out.

  20. You guys have been busy, I go a for a few days of fun and I am more than 700 posts behind. Before I attempt to catch up on the thread here is my update.

Friday morning woke up and had to hurry because I needed to load the car and then pick up a couple of people. Keeping with this months theme I went with the Janus Toggle loaded with a Feather, Romero brush and MdC.

Once everyone was loaded, the trunk filled with golf clubs, scotch and cigars we drove 180 km south to Nonsan, which is the central part of South Korea. It is famous as it is the location for basic training for the Korean army. We booked a 2 days of golf and rented a big villa located at the golf course. The picture below shows the villa and we stayed in to one of the left.

For my emperor's traveling shaving kit I packed DR Harris shaving stick, L'Occitane synthetic brush and Karve bronze razor.

Saturday I had a long drive home through some bad traffic. I had a fun time, didn't loose too many golf balls, enjoyed adult beverages and a nice Macanudo cigar. Sunday I broke out the huge smiling Mike Martinez and to keep the shave emperor worthy I make a super later with AoS tallow and AoS cream. The big soft BK8 rounded out the epic shave.
