If you had to go minimalist on soaps and could only have 3-5 soaps what would they be? Why would you pick the ones you pick? Luckily we don't have to do this but thought it might be fun to see what people come up with. Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk

Central Texas Soaps, because you get a good overall deal for what you pay for, and wonderful customer service Stoylin-same reason Phoenix A.A.-from the little I've used of it so far, I already look forward to another purchase later. The Soap Exchange Razorock-I think I'll get another at some point-nice offerings.
B&M 42 Drunken Goat* (Yes, I know it's no longer available, but I HAD to give it an Honorable Mention) Williams Mug Soap Mitchell's Wool Fat Dr. Jon's Anne Bonney Stirling Limes & Bergamot
I am pretty mimimalist as is with soaps. I use almost exclusively C/O Bigelow cream and Van Der Hagen pucks. If I wander outside those it is only because someone bought me some soap as a gift or I happened to acquire some in a lot purchase and decided to use it.
I'll just name a few soaps that work well for me, in no particular order, and limit it to stuff that's still available. Cella - great price/performance ratio if you buy the kilo Wilkinson Sword stick (never tried the bowl) - my favorite shave stick B&M - most of their scents are good but Waves and Seville are a couple I'll buy again Stirling - my go to for mentholated soaps even though the non-mentholated ones work great too Fine soaps - performance seems similar to Tabac but the scents are better - I know, controversial
I don't even have 5 different soaps in house right now. I try to use 1 soap from start to finish, but keep a mentholated soap on hand during the summer to switch things up. The shaving cream is on hand for lazy days or when I am running late for work. Currently in use is MWF, Stirling, and Bigelow SC. I went down the rabbit hole with soaps and have been working through them for too long. These aren't the best soaps in the world or necessarily my favorites, just what is on hand right now. Arko sticks - inexpensive and works well. Still have 10 sticks left from impulse buys years ago. Also great for travel as I don't mind pitching it if it makes sense. Stirling Orange Chill - Nice orange mentholated soap for the summer. MWF - Works great, lasts forever, and leaves the skin feeling great. Can be had inexpensively from certain vendors. Absolutely would buy again. CO Bigelow SC - After the last fiasco at Bath and Body works, they gave me a $10 gift card. Combined with a coupon, I was able to get 3 large tubes for about $3 out of pocket. The cream works well, has a nice mild scent and cooling. The only downside is that it leaves white residue on everything when used regularly.
Potential list I'm considering once I run lower on soaps. Saponificio Varesino 70th Martin De Candre original Mitchell's Wool Fat Tabac Barrister and Mann Lavanille It's a pretty luxurious rotation but it's also a very long lasting rotation for the most part probably a 2-3 year supply with 4 of those 5 with some rotation on Barrister and Mann soap.
