  2. Thanks, Tim! I was quite surprised and happy using this razor for a headshave.
  3. Great shave, Joe! I don't push beyond 8 shaves with a blade in a shavette. Now, I bin the blades at 5.

Saponificio Varesino SS ans AS - Felce Aromatica
    Darwin Drake 2 band badger
    Osiris Razors w/buckeye burl scales

Crazy busy the past couple weeks, no relief til end of the month. Busy is good.

Enjoyed a spectacular shave today, awesome bowl overflowing, lather slinging fun with the Darwin Drake and SV's FA shave soap. Super face feel, slick with a wonderful aroma. Second outing for the Osiris Razors behometh. 3 full passes, BBS results. Love this super sharp blade, huge swath cleared as it shaves. Long multiple strokes easily accomplished, this blade holds so much lather. Quite maneuverable despite it's size, the muted point works wonders under the nostril area. Finished with a hefty application of the matching Felce Aromatica aftershave. Incredible refreshing face feel and fragrance, wifey approved, only wish it had better longevity as other aftershaves/colognes.

Hope everyone has had a great Wednesday!
  10. Excellent Tim. Happy Wednesday.
  11. That is very true. :happy088:
  12. Thank you Joseph. The over/under is 4 shaves. Currently 15 grams of soap left.

  17. Just like opening a Stephen King novel , you never know what you are getting into with a new knot. The boar turned out to be a horror story but this synthetic flat top seemed much better after its trial run. I like the feel of it and with more use should get even better . Shed 1 hair but splays out really nice and once the Stirling gets agitated on the skin , it produces a great lather when you get the soap/water combo right as the soap is very thirsty. Seems like I nailed the loft correctly and the added weight feels right. The Stunner is now going to be my brush for the month.
The Gentleman pairs well with the Unconditional Surrender to my nose .
Overall it was a great shave as usual with the E3 as it always shaves close .

  18. July 8 SOTA

    Shavette Shave #174
    Parker SRB
    Rockwell 1/2 DE Blade (4)
    JR #290 Synthetic Brush
Music City Suds Lavender SS and AS

I originally had Stirling Glastonbury SS and AS, but Clint had his Lavender shave this morning so I made the switch. I like the Glastonbury scent, but I like the Lavender so much more. The JR #290 is a very soft synthetic, but it makes a great lather. I love the Music City Suds soap because it is easy to lather and the scent is off the charts according to my challenged nose. I am glad that I bought 2 sets of the soap and aftershave because this company doesn't make shave soaps any longer. Their tubs are 6 oz so it is going to be years before I finish the 2 tubs. 2.5 passes gave me an IBSS++ shave. Did get a weep on my main chin, but the styptic pen made it disappear. Splashed on the awesome aftershave to end this nice shave. I will not shave until Favorite Friday. I am torn between picking one of my straights which is a nice problem to have. Lol! I would say that it may be my Friodur or my Dovo Special. However, it could be another straight, but I will see by tomorrow. I am planning on bringing out Mad Max on Monday. Have a great evening guys! 20200708_154012.jpg 20200708_154012.jpg
