Sorry for the double report, but things got a little weird yesterday, and I couldn’t get back to you.

The Emperor Strikes Back
A very rushed 2 pass shave!
Gear
- Razor: Max Headroom Focus R21 Shavette
- Blade: Polsilver Super Iridium (2
- Brush: JOmegan boar
- Soap: Stirling Texas on Fire & Glastonbury--I had a little bit of leftover Glastonbury pressed to the bottom of my bowl, so I loaded the rest of it and then proceeded to apply a small layer of Texas on Fire to my face directly from my shave stick. From my catching up of the many posts I missed last week, I gathered that there are a few of you who are not fans--fair enough. I topped it off with Clubman just to upset the rest of you

- Menthol: Stirling Frost Drops
- AS: Clubman Original (1 Frost Drop)
- Balm: Stirling Glacial Unscented

The Shave
A 2.25 pass shave today (I usually have to take on the chin a 3rd time), WTG and XTG/ATG. Finished with an above-average DFS, although I may have unconsciously re-shaved or over-shaved parts of my upper lip. A tad warm, but nothing worse than some very light irritation. Good shave overall

The Shave
Applied the Texas on Fire directly to my face from the shave stick. Stirling is a pretty soft soap, so while it’s easy to apply, it’s also pretty messy--you get an accumulation of soap along the edges of the stick that needs to be finagled onto your face.
After dialing the lather in (much faster than the bowl, btw), I started a simple 2 pass shave--WTG & XTG/ATG. The shave was so quick and pleasant, though, so I threw in a 3rd ATG pass to swoop up the baby. Didn’t have to, but rationalized it by telling me it was a Hump Day celebration. Yeah… that’s the ticket!
Enjoy your Hump Day, folks!
