    MdC~~Simpson 59~~RazoRock Game Changer OC .84/Personna 74
After having made some bold statements regarding Mike's vs. Martin de Candre,
I thought that I would continue my lavender focus and shave with the MdC.
Well, it made a really superb lather, of that there can be no doubt.
Oodles of thick 'n rich lather spread all over my body...I mean face.
The RR GC was loaded with a thrice-used Personna 74.
The shave was quite lovely and the results were excellent.
Now, here is why Mike's is slightly better than MdC:
    Post-shave.
It's been mentioned often that the MdC can dry out the skin.
    It does.
    Mike's does not.
Watery eyes ensued after a double-splash of iced Florida Water.
Tomorrow's lavender: AoS. Cream or vintage tallow soap...I know not yet.

Pretty good shave this morning. After trying my new Central Texas Soaps (Down At The River)I conclude that rivers in Texas are warm more often than cold. But the nature scent does come through. Imagine yourself knee-deep in the river, and fishing. After just one use, the soap looks like it's been shaved with 4 or 5 times before. I made the same comment about Weekend Rodeo. I wonder if this is because those two soaps were introduced after Greg(Smith)took out the Bentonite Clay from his ingredient list.

Now for the shave itself. 0:30 to load the soap onto the Crown King brush(course Crown King is the "sister city" to Phoenix A.A.). Good solid sweeping motions. I didn't shake the water off the brush as much as I should have. That forced me load more soap onto the brush before the first pass. Did the normal 2. . With the hot weather, the soap stuck to my face, even before I administered the aftershave(Aqua Velva). I did get 2 or 3 weepers, but all proved harmless. Solid work down at Cactus Nation. I'll give this one Very Excellent.

Thanks Jeff. Glad to hear they worked out.

I originally considered Pro-Guards to be a sissy cop out........ Until I tried them.

Anyone considering an edge forward shaving device should not overlook the option.

The Feather Artist Club razor and the Supply V2 with a Schick Proline are in my top 5.

Thank you Gary...good morning to you. It's quite something when you have your first shave with a given soap and it looks like it's had MANY shaves.

Excellent post, shave and pic, Joseph! I don't use a pre-shave oil, but maybe if you did, then it may prevent a dry postshave from soaps that tend to give it.
