I apologize for the Shavette Fu post but this old man is whipped.

    Fantastic photo and lineup Amigo.

Excellent shave lineup and photo Primo. I love the MdC scent.

    Wow just stunning Gary. Bravo.

Wonderful shave report and lineup Jeff.

Fantastic shave Jim. I love peppermint and lavender. I too like the feel of the gel boar.

That is one great looking brush Andrew. The GFT Spanish Leather sounds interesting.

Whew. Three hours yesterday and 6 hours today pressure washing the driveway and front walk. You can stick a fork in me, I am flat done. After a couple of frustrating days with the TnS gel boar knot, I pulled out my favorite badger brush. This D01 2 band is a lather making machine with tons of backbone. The brush ate through the remaining soap and whipped up a mountain of rich slick lather. The scrub of the knot was welcome today. Three passes and touch ups caught the baby with ease. I had to work a little harder on my lower right neck. This blade is toast. I have added so much menthol to my witch hazel is frigid. Followed by a splash of Fine Lavender left me smelling good and feeling cool. I hope everyone has a great Saturday.

Nine hours for the driveway and walk way to the front door. I am going to work at a client office tomorrow trying to catch up and maybe get a little ahead.

Beautiful photo and awesome report, Joseph! Sounds like you got the menthol in the Florida Water just right--anything so mentholated it makes your eyes water gets an automatic thumbs up from me :D

Straight Razor Shave #187 (Above the Shoulder Shave)

F W Engels Special 5/8 Full Hollow Sq. Pt
Schick E-3 Injector (Backup for the Headshave
    C-Mon Heritage Collection Badger SHD
    Stirling Sandalwood SS and AS

Today, I decided to do a rare above the shoulder traditional straight shave. I prepared the Engels by stropping on linen, crox, linen and leather. Since I have this razor, this is the first time that I refreshed it. I have to say what a difference in the shave.
I have decided to continue using the Sandalwood until it is gone. The C-Mon brush is a great latherer. It really hasn't disappointed me from day one. The bristles are soft but the brush has backbone. I have come to realize with my brushes that I can't always lather the same way every time. With the C-Mon, I mostly paint and then do circles, but with light pressure. With my synthetics, I use more pressure. Anyway, my lather on my face was really a sight to behold. It was the fine ratio of wet and somewhat thick. The Engels was sharper than it has been so that it was taking off whiskers without much pressure at all. This razor was performing like a first class champ. 2.5 passes on a 27 hr growth gave me a BBS- shave. It's amazing how these 100 yr old razors are still around and shave very well.
The headshave was decent after a few passes, but did get a tiny nick on top of my head, but styptic took care of it. 2.5 passes gave me a nice comfortable shave. It's been awhile since I headshaved with a straight, so I finished with the Schick E3 for the cleanup to give me a BBS headshave. I brushed on tge extra soap on my face and dome to really infuse the scent on my skin. Finished with a generous amount of the Stirling aftershave. Will not shave tomorrow, but the Mad Max Monday Matinee will be showing on my next shave. Have a nice Sat afternoon guys! 20200711_132625.jpg 20200711_132625.jpg

Thank you Jim. There is a little soap left but not enough for a shave. I pressed it onto the top of MdC original to finish it off.
