  1. Thanks for the tip, Joseph. I am reading on most of the packages I’m finding that the melting point of the crystals is pretty low. After adding them to the bottle, I may leave it in the hot car for a while to make sure they dissolve.
  2. Thank you Gary. I hope you have a great day.
  3. Thank you Jeff. You are right the AC blades are super sharp and don't tolerate mistakes very well.

  7. Sunday’s Shave.

    Schick E2
    Personna Blade
    Omega 11126 Boar
    La Toja Shaving Soap
    La Toja Aftershave

Each time I use La Toja, I think to myself that it could be a front runner for my deserted island shave kit. But fortunately I don’t have to make that decision. Calm, relaxing shave today. Almost effortless 2 passes with the Schick E2 left me with a DFS++ finish.

  8. Thank you Andrew. I got this brush on a ATG forum group buy at a fantastic price. I just love the knot.
  9. Thank you Tim. I have a 4 oz bottle that I mixed hot water and alcohol to dissolve the crystals. I add the mixture to the witch hazel or aftershaves.
  10. Thank you Joseph. I am enjoying using different soaps. I am looking forward to giving 2 new triple milled soaps a try this week.
  11. Thank you Tim!
  12. Fantastic shave Andrew. I love La Toja shave soap.

Aftershave: Wholly Kaw King of Oud

A gorgeous Sunday afternoon relaxing by the pool following a morning workout, wood splitting and other yard work.

I decide to alter my shave routine. Aside from it being early afternoon, I just did a two pass shave. I needed to head out to the stores prior to getting in the pool.

I am amazed at how rich of a lather the Dogwood synthetic whips up with the RR Stallion. I am continuing to get wonderful shaves with the Proline blade. I must confess that I miss using my straights. Their time will come soon enough. I am sure one of the new acquisitions will lead off the month of August. Will it be the Puma, the ERN, or the Martens. Stay tuned!

SWMBO came into the the bathroom while I was applying the splash. She approved, which is always a bonus.

So as I sit by the pool, I am reminded of how wonderful a scent the splash offers as the wind occasionally drift the scent to my nose.

Below is my little man, or should I say fish. He loves the pool.
