  1. Monday's Shave

    Schick L1
    Personna Blade (1)
    Omega 49 Boar
    Oleo Soapworks 'Empire' Shaving Soap
    Oleo Soapworks 'Empire' Aftershave (w/menthol)

Today's shave was a very fragrant, comfortable 2 passes for a DFS and no irritation. Caesar approved.

  3. That's quite the cut, Jason! Fine shaves otherwise. Looks like you're making your way through that tube of Palmolive.
  4. Thank you Jim!
Yes it is, Jeff! Maybe I might try a 12/8 straight one day. Lol! Have an awesome day, my compadre.
  5. Excellent shave and report, Joe! Nice to see the Mad Max again - stunning razor.

  6. Thanks Gary! I will wait until next year to buy a marine scented soap.
  7. Thank you Andrew! It definitely is stunning, but it is also very functional. I could've dolled it up more by ordering inlays on the spine or fine detailed work on both spine and tang, but the extra $$ to get it wasn't worth it to me. The scales and Max Sprecher's craftsmanship is what sold me.
  8. You did good, Joe! :)

  9. Thanks, Tim! That’s the goal! Just washed off the Canoe and applied Guerlain Vetiver. I’ll give myself another hour with it. My dog refuses to come in the house! Go figure! Hee hee, the place reeks of cologne!!
  10. Quite true! Just needed the appropriate olfactory balance! ;)
  11. I see this Southerner is in a NYS of mind! From this Empire State resident, you had a nice shave Andrew!

  14. Thanks Andrew! I won't say that it will be a once-in-a-lifetime buy from Max Sprecher, but I am glad that I was able to purchase one at this time. His least expensive razor starts at $395. That's without adding any premium extras like abalone scales or fancy spine/tang work.
  15. Great looking shave, Andrew!

  17. Thanks, Joe! I really enjoy this Empire set. This morning, I picked it in a NY second and took my country time using it... :)

  18. Thanks, Gary! I think you may be right. The marketing folks at Schick even had their canned lather product placement on point!
