Changed the grips from faux woodgrain to something more of a match to the nickel finish.

Replacement grips, two coats of Rustoleum 2X "Metallic Aluminum" and just a touch of black shoe polish rubbed in to bring out the knurling. I'm quite happy with it.

Received this vintage, if not antique, Cosmo Mfg Co Germany razor yesterday from an offer turned trade initiated by our own generous @Enrico. I can't wait to take it for a spin. It's in fantastic condition and though tiny when broken down, is sure seemingly durable. It still fits together perfectly after all these years! Seen to the right is a spare handle he included in case its weight was preferred. A great piece of history that won't ever leave my den!

Had to take on the brush to get the crazy cheap price for the Type N1. I would assume that knot is not original since it is a synthetic bristle. I am knot (pun intended) a brush collector but I don't have any synthetic brushes so I'll take that as a double win.

As I remember it's dated from around 1922.

I would opine that Merkur certainly is vintage, that handle is not something used on modern Merkur razors.
