    C.O. Bigelow~~Simpson~~RR Game Changer/Personna 74/Proraso
With Dr. Mrs. Primo in the shower, I decided to do an all "cold-water" shave.

The ethereal lather is so intoxicating; add in the refreshing menthol and eucalyptus and what
you have is the perfect recipe for a hot and sultry day.
For about $10 clams, you really get a top-quality shave cream.
One last time, I pushed the Personna 74 to its limits.
Today, inserted in what is really a fantastic razor, the RR Game Changer.
This version is the OC .84 and if you wanted an austere shave den,
you could do FAR worse with this razor as your one and only.
Excellent slickness and cushion from the Bigelow, allowing the razor to
glide in every direction, sans tugging.
Plenty of lather for three luxurious passes.
The aftershave is probably the product in my den, which I have used the most.
(Along with vintage Williams and MWF)
I think the next bottle I purchase will be the BIG one and I'll splurge on a green atomizer.
    Have a great weekend, everybody.
  10. Perhaps, but with my current crop of actively used safety razors a 'great' shave is a guarantee, but only a few guarantee a 'spectacular' shave, the AS-D2 is one of them. Other spectacular shaves are: Colonial Silversmith & General V2, Blackland Vector, Shake Sharp V1.5, Valet Auto Strop VC4, LaResche 51, Supply V2 and my Rex Ambassador.
  11. May I suggest this aftershave...

  13. Beautiful shave, Maestro! I agree that ounce for ounce Bigelow is probably one of the best lathers around. Haven't used the GC, but am well aware of its excellent reputation. That Simpson brush is magnificent. Glad the shave went so well for you.
  14. Gorgeous, James.

  15. Clint, if you ever tire of that Cobra Classic, I'm your huckleberry!
  16. Wow, you had a Blackbird stashed away in the pile! Great closeup, Jim! I'm surprised you don't own a AS-D2, the granddaddy of the modern artisan SS razor revolution!:angelic007: Not enabling, just surprised, is all! ;)
  17. :happy102:
  18. thank you Jeff,good morning..
  19. :D
  20. Thanks, Clint!
That's the way I normally use the Blackbird and will continue to use it. I'm giving each of my razors a shot at steep angle shaving.
    Wonderful, Joseph a
    Thank you!
    Thanks, Jeff!
I took the bait. An AS-D2 should be delivered tomorrow.
