    Sunday's Shave

    On Friday, my neighbor walked over to surprise me with this Otto Roth razor that he picked up at a Military Memorabilia show. He knows how to keep me at ease with continuing to cut his grass por gratis... The razor performed marvelously today and felt just a touch milder than my Gillette LC. The Voskhod is a wonderful blade for me. I started using my second sample pack today and I just ordered 100 more that will arrive on Wednesday. No huge annoying glue dots like some of the other Russian blades, just two miniscule ones on one side of the blade wrapper. I hope this continues with the new 100 pack.

    I decided on a 3 pass shave today, as the first two were so smooth and I had plenty of lather left in the brush. I did include an XTG/ATG hybrid pass on the lower neck trouble area and I feel no irritation at all. The result was a superb BBS with wonderful post shave feel from the Soap Commander soap and aftershave. The Courage set is one of my favorites, as it has an exemplary combination of year round scents.

    Great shave, Andrew! That’s one great looking razor. Any of the Gillette New flat bottoms deliver great shaves! I’ve got a tub of Soap Commander Honor lying around, but lately I find myself using MWF and Nancy Boy almost exclusively. They outperform any other soap I’ve tried, and I’ve tried a lot. The only other cream in the same category is Castle Forbes Lime or Lavender.
