What Manly Things Did You Do Today?

So many questions.....

 

Ok now for the explanation. I was at a 3D shooting range. That’s where archers can shoot a 3-dimensional, often life-size models of animals. They will include modern animals, dinosaurs & even some imaginary critters (e.g. zombies, Bigfoot, etc.)

The challenge is that you are in the woods, so the light is low and the targets aren’t easy to see. Also they are at varying distances from the shooters.

 

Woke up, yawned, stumbled into the bathroom while scratching my ass, took a leak and went back to bed. That's my manly thing of the day.

 

Today, I helped out this old lady friend (80+) by putting up a Magic Mesh screen so she could leave the door open for the dog to go out on the patio. It was an easy installation for me. She is only about 5' so it would have been a real stretch for her.

 

In this case, both literally and figuratively.

 

I won't be impressed until you tell us that you've been on an Island hunting humans for sport.

Lumed the hands on my trusty old Benrus. Didn't think I could pull it off but it works.

 

I spent decades giving them exams. Hunting them for sport isn’t nearly as much fun.

 

Wooo Hooo!! I saved around $250 on a water cooler. We have a bottom loaded water cooler that froze up, over the past several weeks. I tried every way to fix it, but no luck. This thing is about 3 yrs old, and the wife insisted I go, and buy a new one. So, me being me, I ignored the wife, and called the manufacturer of the cooler directly. I explained the issue, and asked if there was a thermostat I could purchase, and they said it is all integrated into the system. SO, the said they would send me a new unit, at no cost, and I could just dispose of the old one.
I hate throwing it away, if It only needs a thermostat. Time to tinker.

 

Rode my bicycle 41 miles (66km) in 92F / 33C heat today. Saved a turtle from getting splatted while crossing a country highway, Fixed a broken chain for another cyclist I saw walking who would have been walking for another 7 miles, and then got stung right next to my eye and had the right side of my face swell up for most of the ride home. Good times.

I chopped a little wood, Live Oak. I had to stop, because it was too green to split, without killing myself.
Did a little shopping at Harbor Freight Tools.
Changed the Oil on my Diesel Pickup, along with the oil and fuel filters.
Then called my son, to come over to smoke a cigar, have a beer, and eat dinner.

 

Yes. Thank you. I am lucky that I am not allergic to most stings. Not sure what got me, but it looks like I got punched in the eye. It doesn't hurt any more, just a bit swollen. Hopefully it will be back to normal in the morning.

 

Just tell everyone that your wife is faster with a frying pan than you thought she was.

I laid down approx 35 feet of a stone walkway, in my front yard. Clearing a path, leveling the ground, and leveling the walking stones.
I enlisted my wife and 14 yr old daughter. I did this so my daughter would learn a life skill, because she might need it when she is older. Most men, under 30 would have no idea how to do this. She was very very proud of herself, as I was of her. She didnt gripe one bit, and was carrying 30lb stones, like they were light. Not bad for a 5'8" 130lb walking stick of a girl.
I could have done it myself, in about the same time, but what fun would that have been.

Or did she use the copper pan instead of the cast iron?
