  11. Excellent shave Joe. I am surprised you did not go with a triple dose of the splash or a chaser of Osage Rub given the heat here in our next of the woods today.

  13. Lol! Thanks Joe. I don't have Osage Rub and I limit my dosage to 2 shots of aftershave.

  14. I agree with both of you, and it is why I enjoy participating in this thread so much.... but..... honestly we do revere and hold in the highest esteem those who use the craziest razors, popsicle stick shavettes, razors glued to twigs or even just a blade glued to a finger. Yup it is all about the people, not about the gear.

  15. Monday safety razor shave: It has been to long since I used my favorite DE, a Mühle 2011 R41. Loaded her with my favorite DE blade an Iridium Super. The Stirling performed great and lived up to it's name Lemon Chill. The results was outstanding..

    Razor: Feather AS-D2
    Blade: Feather NHS (1)
    Brush: Zenith boar
    Pre-shave: PAA Rabid Banana Cube
    Soap: PAA Frost Byte
    PAA Galactic witch hazel
    PAA unscented Star Jelly
    AS: PAA Frost Byte

    Good morning!

Wonderful shave to start the day! Three passes for what I would call DFS+. Nearly silent alum.

The AS-D2 arrived yesterday and was put into service this morning. Very smooth razor. Little to no blade feel. I'm kinda sand papery along my jawline and under my chin. It'll probably take me a few shaves to get her dialed in.

    Have a great day!

  17. Totally agree! After all, we do have Jim (@jluc) for a shave demo review if we ever have a question about any modern artisan gear! :)

  18. Wow, that was quick! You didn’t waste any time getting it. Great shave report with a gorgeous shot of the razor, Jim! It has a very narrow sweet spot, but once you get it dialed in I think you’ll be pleased with the results.

  19. Lovely shave, Keith! Love the handle! I had a great shave with mine a week or so ago! It’s a fabulous head shaver! Glad your shave went so well!
