You're exactly right, Joe. There's no one-upmanship in this group. And really - that's the whole point of this thread. It's all about learning to get the best shaves using whatever gear you have. Once again, that all comes down to technique - not the gear itself.

Congrats on the new Feather, James. As Jeff mentioned, with a narrow gap, it's quite easy to "lose" the correct angle. My ears are attuned to the particular sounds my razors make when cutting, so I can easily tell when I have found the "sweet spot". You will too, and the razor will afford you a BBS shave every time.
