Fine shave this morning(but I didn't use any Fine products, chuk yuk yuk yuk...hmmm...tough crowd).

All right back to the shave. Razorock soap(Lime Burst)was the soap of choice today. My usual 0:30 to load the soap onto the brush(Crown King Spindle Duro Tali). Nice sweeping action across the face and Cactus Nation. I did end up with 3 weepers, but I hardly noticed getting them(kinda like "mm, how did those red things get there?"). No issues down at the Nation. I sure was glad have as a closer a Stoylin Glacial aftershave(Lime). Feels great for an hour or so then the freeze calms down, but I need a frozen face ALL DAY, as it is so hot here. Most Excellent.

Sorry to hear that too. It's not fun living with back pain. Do you ever go to a chiropractor and/or for massage?

    Nice shave report, Paul.
To keep cool all day, may I suggest decanting your bottle of Glacial Lime aftershave into this? :happy097:

Very clever, Andrew!!! That's the "new wave" air-conditioner, isn't it? The one that has been "flying off the shelves"(not my quotes).

Wonderful shave and photo, Jeff - despite the minor weepers. You're making me want to reach for the MWF. See...told you I knew there would be an open blade in your lineup today...:D

AND, a brief tutorial regarding "Street Cred"

Chiseled Face Groomatorium Midnight Stag~~Mondial~~Fatip/Personna Med Prep
Look up "street cred" in your Funk & Wagnall's and the FIRST definition you will find is:
    PRIMO.
    "Primo", of course, meaning "first"
When it comes to SC (copyright applied for), I set the bar.
I first used Tabac in 1978.

I was dousing myself in Lilac Vegetal in 1979.
Most of you shavers hadn't yet figured out how to deal with your peach fuzz.
I was using Vintage Williams, while everyone else was struggling to lather it.
I set the trends, indeed MAKE the trends.
    I am an ENABLER---not enabled.

When I indulge myself with Midnight Stag, I AM the midnight stag.
People stare at me in wonder (as far as I can tell from under their masks).
Mothers take their children off of the streets.
REAL men wink and give me the :happy088:
In addition to shaving with it, I bathe in it; I relish it; it completes me.
So, next time you want to question my SC© remember this day.
Bookmark this post; jot it down on your calendar.
    Now, if you all will excuse me, I am going to go change some oil; get greasy; light a campfire;
and fill up my canisters with high-octane petrol.

My ex-friend liked that band. I'm not into music styles like that-but having said that, I did love the group BOSTON.

Rex Ambassador ramp up experiment @2

Rules: Can't exxxagerate (exaggerate should always be spelled with 4 x'x) or do too much extra time or touching up. A normal amount is OK, but shave pretty much as is.

An experiment just for the hell of it for July.
I'm progressively working my way up using 3 passes on single settings for 3 or 4 days .

    @2
Blade feel noticeable now, but not too bad. But will have to relather and no buffing due to my sensitive skin
Shave 1. AM 3 pass BBS face, 3 pass BBS head and 2+ pass DFS neck
However too much pressure perhaps, feeling a bit raw, time to use some to of the technique perfected for the since sold aggressive Wunderbar (light touch, ride the cap, more prep etc. ) At lower settings, there is only one angle, at higher settings you need to pay more attention.

Shave 2. AM Day 1's irritation came back to haunt me. Shaved over some razor bumps and raw feelin neck and some blood or discomfort/redness. Shades of Wunderbar. 2 passes, cut short. Not a good shave.

Break for a day or two or it will be an unfair test as my technique was lazy. Got to try out the new Colonial General. Very mild, exactly as needed. Good efficiency for such mildness.

Shave 3. AM More preshave with a RR cube and not Arko, but Lucky Tiger soap over top and Lucky Tiger AS after. Smooth sailing, BBS- face, BBS-head and DFS neck, no weepers and less irritation

Shave 4. AM Same setup. 3 pass BBS- head BBS face and DFS neck (2+pass).

Interesting that at 1 and 1.5 I got just as good or better shaves because I could buff or do-over a pass in my every which way areas without irritation.

Approaching the Danger Zone, next 3 shaves @ 2.5

There's a gentleman on here(I don't need to call out his name because he knows his name), who has been making....er....COMMENTS about Midnight Stag. To you I'll say what I told him...that it appears to me they've added some "ingredients" to it(but I suppose not so many as to wreck the overall scent). You may recall that I purchased the "original" but couldn't quite appreciate it overall, as it was during the summertime. This was many years ago. I do recall the feeling of "manliness" inside that bottle.
