  1. Thanks, Clint. I think Mr Fine just came up with a way of selling his first production samples
Here’s what I received in a plain paper wrapper. Comes in at 97.2 grams all together which is in the ball park for me.

  3. I'm glad you exempted comments about those exposing the Top Secret High Security Razor Storage Facility @jluc maintains deep in the Colorado Rockies.

  5. I think it was simply a matter of Todd wanting to sell his 20 first production samples at a discount. Packaging would have increased the overall price to the stated $165.
  6. Bill, I like you and all, but you’ve just violated Cartel security! You can expect a late night visit from Charlie (@wristwatchb) and his henchmen. ;)
  7. Even the Cryogen sounds good to me today...way too hot. Killer shave today, Joe! Love the Schick. Quite possibly the best style razor ever designed.

  8. I saw your response on DFS. It appears the Todd responded to the other guys email. The packaging you received is the standard packaging for full retail customers. Having never held either razor. I would pick the Feather AS-D2 given their similar pricing.

Maybe it shaves much better than your initial impressions
  9. Interesting. I haven’t read any history for Osage Rub. I’m sure people in general back then smelled quite different than today’s society and had different tolerances for odors.
  10. This is what kills me-I never had the chance to ask my Dad what products he liked and used in those days. In the decade Osage got its start, my Dad was 19 at the beginning and 29 at the end....certainly an age where dating must have been "the going thing".

  11. awesome schick shave Joe..
  12. thank you Bruce.it's as complete as i want to go i think.i could collect every old type or ultra rare ones but would have to spend thousands.i would upgrade a couple if mint sets came available and then sell my copy to help finance it,but no desire for an engraved new deluxe president or bottom dial etc..i never got to ask which models my grandad had and no one else remembers..
  13. Actually that's my situation for tomorrow's shave.....I'll probably use no Stoylin Frost Drops, but just before the shave I MIGHT decide to flip'em into the soap.
  14. Perfect way to start the cool down of a hot summer’s day. Fabulously done Gary

  16. That would most likely be "the going thing" at that age. I'm sure they would have been interesting conversations for you!
For me, my Grampa is that person I wish I had the chance to ask about shaving related topics. When I was growing up, he and my Gramma would stay with us in Alabama for a week or two as they made their semiannual snowbird trip, driving their Mercury Grand Marquis, from Littleton, MA to Pinellas Park, FL. In the mornings when I got out of bed, my Grampa was always waiting at the breakfast table, having already showered and shaved, with the very strong essence of Brut pouring from his skin. Every time I smell Brut, I still think of him.

  19. If you read my post, you’ll see that I’m trying to give Todd the benefit of the doubt, and will do my best to approach the shave tomorrow in as open-minded a fashion as possible.
