Still digging the “Shave Like an Emperor” theme picked by @Primotenore in the 30DC thread. Deciding to mix it up a bit, (which, along with “getting jiggy with it” is something we Emporers are known to do), I switched out the gold Aristocrat for a King (i.e. the Rex). Theoretically, this should have been a royal upgrade, particularly when you consider that he brought along a special soap made in Awesometown by the Duke of Grand Fenwick. Alas, however, I continue to find this razor too heavy for my tastes, and have banished it to the pile of extravagant things which no longer amuse me (which appears to be growing by the minute). I will say, however, that any scepter, sword or shaving brush hand made by @jtspartan is fit for an emperor, and once again enabled me to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. My subjects are now free to rejoice that the royal face will be smooth for yet another day.

Out for a picnic?

Today I decided to use a soap that had been lying dormant since long: it did not convince me.
Instead, this glycerine soap has made a compact, full-bodied lather, dilutable as one prefers.

And it also has a pleasant scent that I would call floral, though light.
Poor little forgotten soap…

I set the Progress to #1 and it gave me two smooth cheeks even ATG, even though it didn’t.

Razor: Oneblade Core version 2 - Great daily driver IMO with a Gem blade.
Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE modified(7) Favorite blade........
Soap: Razorock XXX- nice different freshness scent and has excellent lather qualities.
Brush: Omega Boar - I have used Omega boar brushes even when cart shaving and this brush has been totally abused from new because of trying to get rid of funk scent and has not let me down, they are built to last IMO. It's not my favorite but deserves recognition for build quality!
Pre shave: brush wash my face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser.
Prep: cold water rinse after each pass of 3 + pick ups.
Post shave: Razorock XXX aftershave with witch Hazel.
Results: CCS,DFS,BsS + no weepers + no irritation = Another excellent shave with my Oneblade Core.
