Good morning, fellas! Razor - Blackland Vector Blade - Kai Captain Sharpblade Soap - MWF Brush - APS w/ SynBad knot Post - Chatillon Lux *2018* Broke out the MWF for a change. Good stuff...I'll even go so far as to say it's a great soap. Not particularly exciting scent-wise, which is by design. This puck is getting close to the end. I've wavered back and forth whether I'll get a refill when it's gone. Most likely, that answer is "yes". For one, the container is just cool - and putting something else in the crock is probably sacrilegious. And, two...it's just great soap. Plain and simple. The Vector did its "Vector thang" and mowed down the stubble quickly and easily. Between the lanolin magic of MWF and the CL aftershave, my face is smooth and silky. Can't beat that with a stick. Have a wonderful Thursday everyone!
I do believe it’s the lanolin in my MWF. I did notice that when I was on my Nancy Boy focus that my weepers when I received any tended to require styptic. That has not been the case since the return to my regular goto, MWF. Happy birthday!
Thanks, for bringing me up to speed, Keith. I’m sure Ben spent more than he should have, but then I lost the right to comment on his finances a very long time ago. After all, He’s a grandfather now as well!
Nice shave, Joe! Sorry about the nick! You should start using a lanolin based soap like MWF. Probably wouldn’t need the styptic anymore. Have a great day!
Look at that lather! Niiiice, Joseph! Great shave and picture, Bruce! Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Great shave, Keith! Beautiful razor, even if it didn’t perform as well as yesterday’s. May I ask what benefits you derive from the liquid lanolin? I’ve recently become intrigued in what I believe are the healing benefits of MWF.
Thank You, Gary. Here the magic behind my Mojito, powered by Proraso: • preshave 1:1 • soap 1:1 • aftershave (⅓ White balm / ⅓ Green balm / ⅓ Green Lotion) I had few milliliters of Meissner Tremonia Mint Ice Menthol lotion, and I tossed in too. Not too bad, at all !! And a nice label, if you want to DIY.
@JACarbone Joe and Andrew, that’s a routine part of my shave process whenever I use MWF. I’m beginning to believe that the skin conditioning benefits aid in nick reduction and general blood loss!
Glad you’re enjoying the new razor, Jim. Based on your comment yesterday about Kai, I held it up to the Feather and I was surprised to discover an ever so slight difference in width in favor of the Kai. I really didn’t notice any difference in the size of the ‘sweet spot’ myself, but that just may be because I am so used to shaving with this razor. I did pick up an ever so slight buttering toast’ refrain, but that may be because I had my hearing aids cranked up all the way. Hope your day goes well!
