WhatsIs Again: Brush: DG Jefferson B9B Razor: Gillette Aristocrat 3rd Gen Blade: Feather SS (8) Lather: Barrister and Mann - Behold the Whatsis - Soap Post Shave: Barrister and Mann - Behold the Whatsis - Aftershave Switched up to the Aristocrat today (been using the Aristocrat Jr. the past couple shave) - I find this razor a tad smoother than the AJ, despite the having the same razor head. Feather blade did it's magic once again and I had a very close shave. I find my skin feels a little bit raw during and after the shave but nothing too crazy. I'm glad I'm able to shave with a sharper blade without too much skin irritation - tells me my technique has improved. Monday is here and it's a rough start - have a great day all!

(Cooling Spearmint) Deodorant - Protex - Camphor Medicated Charcoal Talc *Ships from Japan or Thailand Fragrance - Heeley Parfums "Esprit du Tigre" I think I will go with another soothing, cooling shave tomorrow. I love the camphor smell and this set really delivers on it. ***EDIT - Loved the shave. 2 passes + extended clean up. A few brief teeny-weenie weepers that clotted within seconds and never were seen again. This is such a cooling, refreshing shave. The back story on this shaving set........I built this shave all on account of the Thayers Medicated Witch Hazel. I initially bought it to pair with something else but realized that this Witch Hazel had a scent to it. An addictive medicinal scent that I really like. I kept smelling it on and off for days but couldn't find any fragrance to pair it with. I went on a hunt to find a cologne or fragrance that would pair with the Thayers Medicated scent. I did research and ordered several targeted samples. Heeley's Esprit du Tigre absolutely nailed it and I ordered a bottle. I already had a good orphaned shaving cream and balm via the Pacific Shaving Co. that has a dry peppermint scent that really didn't pair with the fragrance I originally ordered it go try with. So, until this shaving set opportunity presented itself the Pacific Shaving cream/balm were relegated to "spot duty" for random shaving rotations. Now it found a home with this "Camphor" shaving set. I also did enormous research to find the deodorant. I ended up having to internationally order the medicated camphor-talc-white-charcoal powder. So, I got my strange Camphor scent shaving set. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but Camphor really is an odd, addictive smell that I enjoy. I figure if anyone else has the same enjoyment of the scent of Camphor, you can duplicate my choices and save a lot of time searching for products. This is 'it'.
Blackland Vector & Schick Proline APShaveCo. 28mm Silksmoke Summer Deluxe Shaving Doo-Wop Barbershop soap L’OREAL Hydra Energetic a/s splash Guerlain L’Homme Ideal Cologne A good shave. The Vector made short work of the stubble today. A wonderful evening and shaves to all...
Ahh man you stole my fragrance for this Thursday that I have planned. Ideal Cologne is fantastic stuff. I bought a backup bottle because it's no longer made. Guerlain replaced it with a cheap toothpaste-mint Ideal Cologne 'Cool'. It's not as good as Ideal Cologne IMO. Many enthusiasts can't believe Guerlain made this change. There was nothing wrong with the Ideal Cologne. It was a really good bang-for-buck scent.
Agreed. A wonderful scent is Ideal Cologne. For some reason as of late, the House of Guerlain have been discontinuing some of their stellar hits and replacing them with some subpar fragrances. The one I can’t wrap my head around is why they discontinued perhaps one of the best fresh and citrus based summer fragrance from their Homme line up in Guerlain Homme L’Eau? Truly a magnificent and sophisticated juice that screams class with a gorgeous mint/mojito type boozy background. That stuff is Legendary....
