New bundubeard mail call just arrived. Huge thanks and shout out to Jaco Grobler for the super speedy service and for even chucking in a few blades! Razor- DE-01 Soap1- kudus kick (medium menthol) Soap2- rooi Afrikaner Soap3- "last one standing" Sent from my Redmi S2 using Tapatalk
It's somewhat nifty when you figure something new out, isn't it? Often times, that change is something small, yet yields big results.
Thanks! The razor is for a friend who wants to start wetshaving, its a tech clone, the kudu is a mentholated soap, (medium bite) but its very very close to glacial, its my first menthol soap besides proraso sapone. The rooi Afrikaner is a tallow based soap, while the kudu is glycerine. Sent from my Redmi S2 using Tapatalk
Morning shave, evening post. Razor - Timeless .95 Blade - Treet carbon Soap - MWF Brush - Stirling Best Fan A/S - Old Spice Not sure what made me reach for the Timeless today. Turns out, a fine choice it was. I put a once-used Treet carbon blade in. The Stirling brush made a wonderful, slick lather (face lathering, natch). Any MWF user will attest to this about MWF - the more you use it, the better it gets. It's not a soap that likes to sit around and dry up. The soap did a bang up job, providing plenty of glide and protection for the shave. Even going ATG on the cheeks was a breeze. A healthy hit of Old Spice to finish things off. Most likely, this setup will be repeated tomorrow. Maybe a change of brush and aftershave, but same razor and soap. The Treet carbon blade is surprisingly good. The CVS carbon GEM blades are nice and smooth, yet I had reservations about this blade. Very smooth and plenty sharp right outta da gate. No clue on longevity yet, however it sailed through the shave this morning. Have a great night, gents!
Congrats on such a nice haul Matthew. Let us know what you think of the soaps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
