  2. Good heavens. What an amazing photo, Jim! Congrats on the new toy...it's just so.....shiny.
What do you think of the LGC scent? I've been eyeing that one for awhile. I love chypre scents, and wonder if that one should be added to the den.
  3. Awesome shave and photo, Jeff! I like the looks of the Monsieur Charles razor. Injector format only?

  4. Thank you, Bruce!
I really like LGC. It is somewhat sweet and somewhat floral so probably not everyone's cup of tea. This is the soap and splash that earned me my CT.

  8. As long as the DE blade lasts for 3 shaves, I'm good with that.
Regarding carbon steel, I've used it with SE Gem blades, but not DE.

  10. The razor is gorgeous Jim. Your pictures are always fantastic but I bet the razor is more striking in person. Congrats.

    Shave Soap & Chiado Aftershave

Happy Hump Day. Whew what a week and I am not even halfway done yet. Pulled out the ABB shave soap this morning. This soap is very similar to MdC, it loads in seconds and generates a ton of lather. ABB has lanolin so the post shave feel is better. The scent is not as strong as the MdC scents but at 1/3 the price this is great deal in my book. Three passes and touch ups almost had the baby so I relathered my lower right neck for a 4th buffing passes and ended with a fantastic BBS shave. A splash of Chiado aftershave and I am off to the office for the day. I hope everyone has a great Wednesday.
  15. Thanks gents. I hope you all have a great day!

  17. I missed shaving last night. I TRIED to make myself do with a one pass shave this AM
Could not do it, I kept going back for touchups and fixes, I might as well have done my normal 3 pass, no time saved, made me later that I would have been. Maybe I need to wear a hat.
  18. Pretty good shave this morning...mighta been better, but I'll take it. Same ammo as yesterday. One of Gillette Foamy's benefits is it's spread power. It's hard to miss an area of the face and neck. Nice coverage today. As I began the shave, I did miss a few areas, but had the presence of mind to "go back and get'em". These areas were parts of the right side of Cactus Nation and a few sections of Porcupine Alley. I used a little more Osage Rub for the closer. It's hard for to me remember the last time my face and neck(and forehead-no rough foreheads allowed) felt so soft and smooth since this Osage came into play. I think it might have been when I had the Bill Neumann samples, about 4 years ago. Skin food, baby! Very Excellent.
  19. Charlie....glad to see you...a very belated happy birthday to Kathy, and how's she doing?
  20. As usual, very nice shaves gentlemen!
