  1. Clint!! You're off your game. There wasn't even a hint of subtlety there. Go right for the throat, why dontcha? :happy102:

  5. You will have to forgive me. I have workers at the house on the drainage project which has my checkbook cringing. I just wanted someone else to share the pain. :happy097:

  6. In spite of health concerns, there ARE times when bleeding on the check is warranted.

  7. This is one of those times for sure. ;)
  8. Thanks very much, Joe....I wonder how close Stoylin's Eucalyptus&Mint would be to Osage. Or maybe Doc Ezlovan did that one with Osage in mind.

  9. Oh yeah...I forgot the project was getting underway. Far worse pain than a puck of soap and some splash. Just think of all the shaving gear you could buy for that amount! Better yet, don't. :D
My credit with Maggard's is burning a hole in my pocket. I was holding out for the Desert Vetiver, or at least a re-stock of some of the other SV soaps, then adding some other items to it. I dragged my feet too long and missed out on the restock of the Simpson Trafalgar T3's. Oh well...they'll get more. Just a question of patience. ;)
  10. Let's see...Clint writes the word "pain", then follows it up with a laughing icon. HMMMMMMMMM.
  11. When this project is done, then we will redo the lawn and paint the outside of the house. We have a long list of projects. On the shaving front, my Wolfman WR2 razor is shipping today so I am excited about that.
  12. Very nice, Joe!
    I'm excited for you, Clint!

  13. Thank you Jim. I just hope it doesn't take forever to get here the with COVID shipping delays.
  14. That's the problem with owning a home. The list of projects never ends. Makes you wonder if we own the home, or if the home owns us.
Hey, that was a quick turnaround for the Wolfman. Didn't figure we'd see the SOTD photos of that for quite some time. Congrats!
  15. Terrific shave and photo, Gary! Good news on the blade.
  16. Thank you Bruce! During this experiment, I am pleasantly surprised that you need very little soap to get the awesome cold and a nice shave from it. It does hold true that a little does go along way in this case.
  17. Thank you, Jim!

    Turtleship Shave Co. Patchouli~~Simpson 2 "Chubby"~~RR Game Changer/Sharp Star~~SMN Patchouli AS
Apologies to all of the terrific posts and pictures, which I have missed.
Fell behind and am having a heckuva time catching up.
Today's shave features a new soap.
I am completely new to this brand and for $16.00 I rolled the dice.
I have been searching for a tub of Valobra Patchouli, sadly to no avail,

but I did stumble upon this soap.
It's a tallow soap with soap really high-quality ingredients.
    From their website:

I created probably the wettest lather I have ever managed---without the lather "breaking"

    Next
time, I will shake a bit more H2O out of the admittedly dense and hoggish CH2.
Lather was flying all over the bathroom, but what I got on my face was one of the slickest soaps in Primo's arsenal.
The GC, loaded with the day 2 Sharp Star literally slid across my entire face.
    Seriously slick folks.
The patchouli scent pleases me so much more than the 3x tried Stirling Glastonbury.
As a lover of patchouli, this stuff checks all of the boxes.
Post-Shave was extraordinary. My skin felt sublimely nourished and there was not a hint of dryness.
Today's "finisher" was Santa Maria Novella Patchouli aftershave.
I scored this bottle on the "bay" for $30. Retails $60, so I got a great deal.
Turtleship Shave Co. is a soap-maker, that is now squarely on Primo's radar.
  19. thank you Andrew.i like the derby premium blades,so i figured if they are the same it's a win win..:)
