  1. Well...if you don't get it "right" the first time around, there's always the second Wolfman...:happy102:

  7. At least your *only* DFS results were done with pretty gear, Joseph! Tomorrow is a new day, and a new blade.
  8. July 30 SOTD

    Good morning guys

    Shavette shave #185
    Dovo Shavette
    Personna Hairshaper Blade (6)
C-Mon Heritage Collection SHD Badger Brush
    Chiseled Face SS and AS

Dipped the dry C-Mon Brush 3x into the puck and then only wet the tips to commence face lathering on my dry face. I got a decent, translucent lather and attained an IBBS++ on 2 passes with one minor touchup. Splashed on the aftershave to end another fine shave in the books. I am finding that you really can get good shaves without heavy loading this soap. The menthol effect is still intense despite the low amount on the brush. Seven shaves down, 3 more to go before I turn in my final report. I will end the month with a straight razor shave. Have a great day guys! 20200730_102931.jpg

  14. Good morning everyone!

    Razor - Timeless .95
    Blade - Treet carbon
    Brush - Jason's beautiful 30DC LE
    Soap - MWF
    Post - Thayer's witch hazel

Shaves as good as today's never get old. The blade performed smoothly and effectively, but in the blade bank it went. Not gonna push this one. 'Twas a very nice blade, yet not a standout in any way. The MWF, on the other hand, never fails to impress. Delightful slickness with incredible post-shave feel. It leaves the skin silky smooth and well nourished. I've truly been enjoying using it since bringing it back out. I need to bring the Tabac out for a few good runs and see if I still prefer it over The Fat.

    Have a wonderful day guys!
  15. awesome shave and pic Bruce, good morning..
  16. Go ahead with the order. Just give him my shipping address. I'll be sure to report if you'd enjoy it or not...:D
The bottom line with a Wolfman is whether or not you want a beautiful work of art to shave with. It's not going to shave any better than any of your other razors, of course. But, it'll look damn cool in your SOTDs.
I don't think you can go wrong with any of his offerings. The craftsmanship is remarkable.
  17. Thank you, Gary! I hope you have an enjoyable day, sir!

  18. I hate when people think it is ok to violate my personal space and touch my head. Some of them think it's funny. I respond by saying how would you like it if I messed up your hair so please, I don't appreciate it if you don't do it any more. Of course, if a beautiful woman did it, then I would just smile.

Another sub par face shave with a freshly honed vintage razor. My son shaved with it after honing it and claimed it passed some hair test with flying colors. He then stropped it on a pasted(?) strop and then on a leather one. I have no idea what the latter sentence means, but my son assured me it was as sharp as my Feather Barber’s razor. In any case I ended up with VBBS cheeks and a DFS neck, which I again cleaned up to VBBS level with the FrankenFamex.

A FB shave brother from down under mentioned that the maker of Suneko nanocoated blades had stopped producing them. They apparently succeeded in developing a blade coating as effective as the venerable Personna 74’s. I usually toss my DE blades after two uses, but my shave today was the 7th shave on this Suneko blade which is still going strong. Blades that last as long as these are clearly not as profitable, thus the shutdown. The blade sheared right through the noggin stubble and is still going strong. I’m glad I purchased as many as I did. My shave today left me cool, clean, and quite velveteen.

RAZOR: Lord 6/8 (Mug), FrankenFamex (Dome)
    BLADE: Suneko DE (7)
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with Rabid Banana Preshave Cube
    BRUSH: Omega Pro48 Boar
    SOAP: Mitchell’s Wool Fat w/ 6 drops of M-Bomb
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by Humphreys Lilac WH and Osage Rub. Finished with Laura’s Tobacco & Bay Balm.
  20. Awesome shave Gary! Enjoy the 86 degree weather and stay cool.
