Oh, right.....I think I'm getting there with that(avoiding the urge to "dive in" with the brush). Thanks.
Yeah, there's always the option to squeeze out the lather....it works. But when I hit that point I'm already so flustered & frustrated with the knot I end up hand painting the lather on. It's why the HC shd badger gel tip knot ended a horrible scissors, knife & Dremel demise. I still need to try a band at the base of the other HC knot to collapse it a bit to help with lather release. If it doesn't work...it's BST. I'm not in love with that handle anyway. Maybe it's me....but my other badgers don't have this level of a problem....it's a shame cause the HC options were $50+ add ons. I'm pretty content in the brush dept. I really only want one brush handle to add to the den. I'll know it when I see it. Manufacturer not important....a really screaming bright colored cool disco handle. I'll tear out the knot if it doesn't measure up, and put an Omega boar, Omega EVO synthetic or Simpson synthetic in it.
Thanks Jeff....that one I got down at Cactus Nation this morning was a combination of too much pressure, and I would say a cut or nick from before. That's why I said I "drove over it".
Ben’s lucky, he’ll be an empty nester and will be able to finally devote full time to his custom knife-making hobby. The guy who made the two Damascus straights for me was Ben’s instructor at one of the many knife-making seminars he attends each year.
There are lots of diamonds in the rough for those who desire vintage razors. Like yours, many just need some cleaning and polishing. It’s a crapshoot when buying from eBay, etc. Sometimes ya get lucky...like you did.
My wife was not happy at all. Thank god I didn’t ruin a new Arai helmet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I’m glad somebody finally said it. Thank you Joseph. You know...that’s probably “bannable” talk on other forums.
Has anyone heard from Tim (@timabababaluka)? He just sort of dropped off the radar. He does live in a hot zone, and is in one of the susceptible professions. I hope he's ok!
Come on Jeff. We are all friends here. You can let it out and let us know how you really feel about it.
I really love my boars. Wonderful lather production one they are broken in. August is going to Gold and Boar month.
