Well, it's been a while since I've posted anything here and since tonight was so relaxed and calm, here goes: 1941 Ranger Tech Z-1 Gillette Blue Blade (2) Semogue 830 brush Stirling Executive Man soap and A/S Witch Hazel with tea tree oil Cold Missouri water. I went to a flea marked last weekend and found a box of blades. 2 20 blade packs of Blue Blades still sealed and 2 10 blade packs still sealed as well. Also had 2 sealed packs of old 3 hole blades and 1 that was open. The# on them are 345 I believe. I'm not sure on the dates of any of them but I had to try the Blue Blades. The first pass out was in a Pre-war Tech and I didn't think I was gonna make it to the end of that pass. I toughed it out and 2 and 3 passes was a lot smoother. Same deal tonight with the Ranger. First pass was pretty rough but 2 and 3 was smooth and I got a BBS with very little pick-up, no blood and ZERO burn with the A/S. It still amazes me that blades that old (no ideal how old) and razors as old as some of these are still produce a shave as close and smooth as they do.

Thanks Gary. That was my first stop when I got home with the blades. Z-1 on the Blue Blade is either a 1954 or 1970. The 3 hole blades are before 1925 as that's when they went to 4 # codes.
very cool. they would be 1954 in that dispenser..nice score..never tried a blue blade, heard they deteriorate with age..not sure..

The first year they produced those was 1959. If it has a slim head like the Gillette Slim adjustable it is sometime from 1961 onward, if not then 1959 - 1961.
