  6. Excellent photo Joe. Love the T5. I did a couple of test lathers before the first real use. The brush has worked well for me. I hope you get it sorted.

  16. So glad you enjoyed the shave from the Rigarazor. It’s the only razor I have where I used the word, “effortless” because I couldn’t think of a better adjective. I still can’t think of one. :happy036:

  20. SOTD TUESDAY AUGUST 4, 2020

My shave today was exemplary! I’ve been hesitant to shave with the Lord razor because of the Spanish Point blade. My son apparently shaved with this razor after sharpening it, and reported that it was his favorite of my straight razors. I must admit that the shave was good, resulting in the usual DFS. For my cleanup today, I used my Father’s Gold Black Beauty opened up all the way to cleanup the mug. Something about the head geometry of Gillette’s split cap TTO design impacts their efficiency compared to full cap designs Of earlier razors which tend to hold the blade more rigidly. The result is less chatter and cleaner more efficient cut. I did reach the desired VBBS level, but it required an extra pass. Two cleanup passes (ATG, ATG) for the mug and three for the dome (WTG, ATG, ATG). No matter, I feel cool, clean a very velveteen!.

RAZOR: Lord Spanish Point (Mug), Gillette Gold Black Beauty (Dome)
    BLADE: Suneko (9)
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with Rabid Banana Preshave Cube
    BRUSH: JR Custom Boar #374
    SOAP: Mitchell’s Wool Fat w/ 6 drops of M-Bomb
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by Humphreys Lilac WH andOsage Rub. Finished with A&E Post-Shave Serum
