I've always admired that mug. I don't even know exactly why, but it catches my eye every time. I guess it just has a quiet elegance and sentiment. I have mugs and bowls that I really enjoy using for their look, how I found them or sentimental value that truly DO enhance the enjoyment of my shave. Sweet vintage mug!
Thank you Chris. I feel the same way. I started shaving using a mug and Williams soap more than 50 years ago.
Gillette Slim adjustable, Bic Chrome Platinum, shave 6 Razor set on 8 and done as comparison shave against my prior shave using the Slim Aristocrat adjustable also set on 8. Both shave the same on the same setting so that settles that for me that they are the same razor just different proverbial paint job option is all.
Excellent shave setup, Jim! If I remember correctly, you have the first production and the last production of the SS Flare Tips. Right? I have the Z1 but I am on the look out for the L4...
Does it really smell like the Royal Forest? If it doesn't, should it? Great looking picture. Arko August?

The Red Tip B1, looks unused to me. The case still has wire springs to lift the lid. I'm not sure I will shave with this, not sure I'm worthy. Are these blades appropriate to the set?
