  1. Are you talking about Blueshaver, Jon from Scandinavia. I reached out to him a few months ago. He was surprised that I tracked him down. Reading between the lines, I sensed that he gave up shavette shaving. I also think that he couldn't take the criticism that we gave him so I don't think he would be returning to this thread. I went to his avatar and I was blocked so I guess that he doesn't want to befriend me or anyone else here.

  4. Thanks for the super kind thoughts Gentlemen! The color effect is a super filter called HDR....high dynamic range. Looks great on a backlit device, not always so much when printed. In the old days of developing color film and/or paper with the chemical process, it was a couple extra steps, a fancy smancy term called cross processing or developing.

  9. I like it better than the other Bay Rum scents I have tried. It's spicy for sure. I'm guessing you'd be a fan since you like other CF scents.

  14. Thanks, Joe!

I really enjoy the scent of Reserve Classic. I believe it's a dupe of Gillette Sun Up. From B&M website:

Inspired by 60s vintage aftershaves, Classic’s clean, slightly powdery notes of citrus, lavender, moss, and sandalwood will keep you cool, calm, and collected for as long as you need to be.

I'm hoping today really is Friday. I've worked eighteen of the last nineteen days. I really could use a weekend off.

    Boar Shave Month - Shave # 7

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: GEM Micromatic Bullet Tip
    Blade: GEM Blue Star
Brush: Shore Shave Blue Nebula w/ Paragon 25 mm Boar
Lather: Declaration Grooming/Chatillon Lux La Forêt de Liguest
Aftershave: Chatillon Lux La Forêt de Liguest Toner
    Additional Care:
    Barbero Alum Block
Thayer's Witch Hazel - Aloe Vera
    Chatillon Lux La Foret EdT

Superb three pass shave with the MM Bullet Tip. The blade was binned after it’s tenth shave. It still delivered an extremely close shave. The DG/CL collaboration does not disappoint. Wonderful scent and glissade.

The boar whipped up a voluminous lather which easy was sufficient for at least another two passes.

Happy Friday gentlemen. I am spending my day taking the missus to the eye doctor for a follow up checkup. Everything appears to be progress nicely. Storm clean has been completed. The rest of my day will be devoted to preparing for a big family BBQ tomorrow. The brisket will hit the smoker a so point early this evening. I will have to dodge a few rain drops.
  19. I would say a weekend of is well deserved.

  20. Superb shave, Joe!
Ah, brisket. That's a labor of love right there. I've spent many a night tending a fire for what is my favorite cut of beef.
So glad to hear your wife is doing well.

    Have a good smoke!
    Thanks!
