Wonder what she would say to the Glacial persuasion, although I can sense a "scent" behind this freeze.

I'm in the beta tester group from ilRasoio forum that builded with Alessandro (DYD @ SV) the first Felce Aromatica shaving soap.
From there all the shaving line, as you can read on the site.
And I've a Dolomiti, wich formally is a Beta 4.0 ... with a huge help from Mother Nature, in the Black Edition !!

    Stirling Glacial Wintergreen~~Simpson Astor~~1958 D3 Gillette Adjustable/Astra~~M&L Florida Water
Through watery eyes, and with tingly fingers, I type this report chronicling today's shave.
Menthol Monday with a glacial bang.
    Never a doubt, that the
Stirling Wintergreen would morph into such picturesque lather.
The Simpson Astor seemed to relish the swirling and the churning.
The sheen seemed to exude from the bowels of the breach.
    Take a gander:

The first appearance of tears began shortly after the application of this lovely lather began.
But Primo is stout-hearted and he faced the icy challenge with stones of ice.
The Fatboy was loaded with the twice used Astra and again, with icy '
    nads, opened to 9.
The 195 really struts its stuff when opened to, what is really the only acceptable setting, 9.
Three glacial passes and the only thing left behind was a kisser of satin and silk.
The coup de grâce was the mentholated Florida Water.
This juice is only for the brave.

I preferred the 4.0 Colonia. Better scent and performance, but mostly the scent.

Never used the old version of Asylum Colonia.
But all the Beta 4.0 I know (expect the lucky one I own), are very different to the new Beta 4.3
All another sport on the tech side !!!

I'd say my recently sold Wunderbar. For me, for head shave and sensitive face areas it was too much attention required for an enjoyable shave and very unforgiving and harsh otherwise.
I have others that don't get much use, but they didn't cost me so much.

My least favourite bursh is a Zenith horse hair. I just get it all knotted up and have to comb it out with the tines of tweezers.

    Monday's Shave

    Gillette 'Pre-War' Tech
    Gillette Platinum (1)
    Omega 49 Boar
    Arko Cool Shaving Cream
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Barrister and Mann Reserve Cool Aftershave

I received my Gillette Platinum blades last week, so I am still getting to know them. Today is the 4 time I've shaved with one. 3 shaves were completed for the first blade and now I'm using this second one for today. It almost felt like no blade was loaded in the Tech today. Great smooth shave for sure. This pre-war Tech is the best shaver of the Techs that I have and it did not disappoint today.

I've read mentions of the Gillette Silver Blue blade lately and I have to say, in my opinion, this Platinum blade is the better of the two. The Platinum feels smoother. I am curious about one aspect though. The GSB blades are double wrapped, and the Platinum blades are just single wrapped in the wax paper. They both have the big glue blobs, but the blobs on the Platinums are not as thick and obtrusive. I hope that makes sense.

2.5 passes today for a BBS result and no irritation or mishaps. I would like to point out that most all of the passes are performed using the "Gillette Slide" technique. I've been doing this for a while and it seems to really help guard against irritation (especially when I do the WTG/ATG hybrid pass on my lower neck). It also helps to cut down on the number of touch-ups (or buffing) required for a BBS shave result.

    I hope y'all have a great Monday!

Jeff, I’m sorry the SR wasn’t sharp enough. However both the SR and 77 look fantastic.
