  5. It's kind of a shame on Sn-Th I shave in the PM before bed, kind of wastes a BBS shave! I guess the AM status is positively affected though due to a better starting point.

    Good afternoon guys!

    Straight Razor Shave #193

    Rockwell DE Blade (1)
    JR #396 Silvertip Badger Brush
    Stirling Piacenza SS and AS

I have been shaving everyday for almost 3 weeks so why spoil the streak. Lol! The JR 396 is really a lather maker. I made a slightly drier lather, but still wet and slick enough to shave. I have to say this razor is something else. It is on its 37th shave since I put it on the films and it still is so sharp that it takes my short whiskers off without any effort on my part. After one pass on a 27 hr beard, I could have stopped and end it. Pass two gave me a BBS -. So, I decided to go in on a 3rd full pass I have not done a third pass since my early straight shaving days. Finished that pass and did some minor touch ups to get a BBS shave that would pass the cotton test except in one area. That area had minimal invisible hairs. Unfortunately, wouldn't you know that on my last stroke of the shave, I get a weepie. Lol! Styptic to the rescue! However, there wasn't any irritation, so 2 out of 3 aint bad according to Meatloaf. Finished this fine shave with the Piacenza aftershave.

I had a great face and neck shave that I decided to headshave. I needed it because I hadn't done so since last Friday night. However, I decided to use my Rockwell Model T for the job. I placed a new Rockwell blade and was ready to go. 3 passes and minor touchups gave me a BBS chrome dome. Now, I am smooth above my shoulders. Have a great afternoon guys! 20200810_134638.jpg

  16. Thanks Andrew! There's nothing like shaving with a smooth and sharp straight razor, especially when it is honed by your own hand.
