Pre:

Cold wet flannel to my face.

Pears ~ Transparent Soap Bar / Nuage Menthol Shaving Oil.

Brush : Unbranded Turkish Boar.

Bowl Lather.

Lather : The Body Shop ~ Maca Root Shave Cream.

Blade: Mers ~ SuperShave X Platinum. (4)

Razor: Parker Variant. ~ (Settings) 2.5-wtg,2.5-xtg,3-atg+pick ups.

Post:

Cold Water Face Rinse./Homemade lavender eucalyptus, +Tea Tree essential Oils Witch Hazel Mixture./ Osmanli ~ Lemon Eau De Cologne./ Aloe Vera Gel.

I have a great fondness for all my parker razors, but the Variant is my favourite for the simple reason it's gave me consistantly irritation-free silky smooth shaves with every shave i've had with it.

A superb solid performing adjustable DE razor.

Last shave of the week with the Mers SuperShave X Platinum which has performed admirably with each shave throughout the week with no dulling problems.

Another very smooth efficient DE blade that i will adding to my blade rotation in future shaves.

A pleasurable 3 pass + pick ups BBS shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a generous dollop of Aloe Vera Gel.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.

Parker Razor & shark blade week.


A new shave set up to start the weekend...It's been a long time since i last added the Shark Super stainless blade to my blade rotation which aren't the sharpest blade in my shaving den, but i find them to be smooth very forgiving and pair up well with my parker razors.

Good technique & shaving confidence dictates the result of traditional wet shaving... As always YMMV.

It amazes me each time i use the MWF just how good of a protective slick lather it creates, it's a shame that some people have skin irritation issues with it...I count myself fortunate that I'm not one of them.

A superb shave!...It just goes to show that you don't need an expensive shaving kit to have a good shave if you gain your shaving confidence & apply good technique.
The humble Palmolive Classic shave stick is a great performing soap which will always be a firm favourite within my shaving den.
