Great shave, Joe! I love shaving with my E Type. They are amazing shavers! Glad your shave went well!
Puma's have a great rep for being awesome shavers. I have never seen anyone go all into straights so quickly and doing so well.
Great shave, Joe! Thanks, Jeff! I try to be open minded about all the different ways to go about wetshaving. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
awesome e type shave Joe.i love mine and will soon have a blue/chrome g -"66" stablemate..looking forward.maybe an se infused SEptember..E,G,L and a valet or 3..
Is it just the difference in base plates between the OC and SB? It would be cool if you could just buy a base plate, or even just the base plate and matching cap for the Tradere to make a ‘set’, not having to have (and spend) for the extra handle.
Great shave, Clint! A BBS on your first outing with a new razor only portends great things! Enjoy your day and good morning from sunny Philly to sunny Hotlanta!
thank you Jeff, the simpson works fantastically, love it with creams and croaps..it's seen little use on hard soaps so far..
I believe it is just a difference in the baseplates. Shane is reluctant to sell the baseplates separately because each razor is serialized. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Never go wrong with an Auto Strop shave! I’ve been loading mine with the FAS Carbon steel blades. They are stroppable and help to make the Valet shave experience even better! Good morning to you in BC.
that would be cool..i would save up and purchase one if that was an option..and build a nice wooden case to house the set in....i want one nice modern razor set..the silversmith and the tradere are both contenders at present.the downside to the silversmith is that i prefer the se general's handle..
Thank you, Clint! I've had this set for a while. Saw it while digging through a box earlier this week and pulled it out. It's a good performer.
Thanks Jeff! The ironic thing is that I snubbed it during the last TSD raffle. I picked something else and then my name came up again and there wasn't much left to choose so that's how I ended up with the E3. It certainly was a delightful surprise. The only downside is that the blades are expensive. With 9 Rockwell DE blades at 15 cents a blade totaling $1.35, I can get 70 shaves. With a 7 blade pack of Schick injector @ 7.00, I get the same amount of shaves. Therefore, I am paying just over 5x more using Schick blades. However, I get enjoyment and better shaves with the E3 than with my other DE's using Rockwell blades.
very cool,i only have the stainless blades so far and like them.no stropping equipment..but i love using the valets.i like the nickel brit short handle vc3 the most so far..my others are a vc4 and a vc2..had..it's bent.so the vc1/2 is gone..
