  1. No I haven't. If you remember, the hardest full honing job was taking out a big chip on my Joseph Elliot razor. Although it shaves, I still need to tweak it some more in order for me to be satisfied with it. As far as my honing knowledge on warped blades, I know that you have to put unequal pressure on the blade to account for the warpness, otherwise the entire edge will not be flushed on the stone.

  2. Thank you, Joseph! I'm sure The Veg would have done a great job of that. It will make an appearance soon with a new look. ;)

  4. Thanks Maestro! I believe the Schick Class E razors are the most agressive. I prefer aggressive razors and therefore always keep the highest settings on my adjustables. Oh yeah, shavettes and straights are the ultimate in aggressive razors.
  5. Understood!

  6. Exactly! That is what Howard Schechter’s finger position technique is all about. I’ll keep you posted!

  7. I would have been tackled to the ground by the optometrist had I done so. Wish I could have.

  17. Thanks, Joe! It’s been a lot of fun. I’m currently working on a Puma Solingen with a slightly warped blade that my son says many would send out to someone like Glen Mercurio or Howard Schechter. Ben took a honing tutorial with Howard about 5 yrs ago and learned his technique for working with slightly warped blades. He’s using this razor to help me learn it. It’s been fun!
  18. They are great brushes! I own four!
