    Arko shave stick
dscosmetic 26 carrot resin handle two band badger/synthetic mixed knot (probably my favorite brush)
    Razorine with plasti-dipped handle
    Gillette Wilkinson Sword blade
    Nivea post shave balm

This was my first time with the Razorine in a couple of weeks. I had tried different blades in it. The Gillette Wilkinson Sword seems to work quite well. I also paid a lot more attention to technique. I had been reading up on various forums and watching videos again on the Razorine. It is true that it is up to the user as to how close a shave you get and angle matters! I watched it really carefully and wound up with only a couple of minor weepers. My neck continues to be a trouble spot for me and I didn’t want to overdo things today so I stopped and left a few spots behind.

I am going to try and stick with this setup for the next few weeks to really get things honed in. I love the efficiency of the Razorine and the fact that I have a bit more control over how close I want things to be. It is a fun razor to use.

Prismatic with Tradere handle/Derby USTA. Tradere handle with the light Prismatic head feels a lot more comfortable than it does with its matched head. Shim sandwich, the wide shim on top quiets the head considerably more than the narrow shim so situated. [IMG]

***EDIT - 1-pass + targeted cleanup. I've learned to work with the super efficiency of this razor by going light on the pressure, maintaining the angle and not using more strokes/blade contact on the skin as necessary to cut the stubs. The shave came out nicely. The CK6 shave soap is just what I needed to protect against this super-efficient razor. The scent on the Gold Label is clearly the closest thing anyone's going to get to Creed's Royal Mayfair without buying the super expensive fragrance itself. I have to say PAA really got this scent tuned up nicely. This is the supporting scent I always wanted for this shave-set. The bath products make this even better. I think this is one of the best bang-for-buck deals on a scent I've come across.

It's a very high end and natural job PAA did. I can barely tell the PAA scent from the Creed. There is only a very miniscule difference to the point that I have to carefully smell each and try very hard to figure out a difference in the most minor of details. I think PAA got a 'long macerated' smell out of their version that surprises me. The Creed bottle didn't have this laid-back,mellowed out scent when it was brand new. The Creed scent initially smelled very strong of eucalyptus and the rose/gin/lime took time to be revealed. It wasn't until my Creed bottle 'aged' over 2 years where I could get that mellow rose/gin/lime and a tamed eucalyptus. PAA's version is capturing that laid-back, smooth, 'aged' scent. I'm extremely impressed with their take on Royal Mayfair. The key is getting that very distinct rose smell and PAA got it extremely close to the point that it's very, very hard to tell them apart. Bravo PAA!
