  1. Fantastic shave Clint. Glad it was uneventful in the blood letting. Hope you have a productive day.

  3. Excellent shave Paul. A few reminders here and there do one wonders when it comes to holding an item that can really inflict some damage if you are not aware.

  4. Paul just seeking clarification: Would “Excellent” be positioned in a different location perhaps between “Fairly” and “Pretty”?

You know what really pleases me?
When a vintage product performs EVERY BIT AS GOOD as a modern,
    artisanal product.
This lather you see here is more than good it's outstanding.

Thick, dense, rich, protective and slick.
Scent is ultra-mild, but that is ok. Scent-STRENGTH is really not one of my priorities.
    Scent-QUALITY, naturally is.
Twice-used Sharp Star inserted in the Barbasol FH.
Excellent three-pass shave leaving my face smooth 'n soft.
Nice post-shave feel with the Yardley.
Finished with the After Shaving Lotion.

Great way to begin the week.
  6. So, let me try to wrap my head around this, Paul. Even a crappy shave would be excellent. Am I understanding your grading scale correctly?
    I gotta say...if I have a crappy shave, it's a crappy shave.
  7. Interesting thought, Joe.....I'll bring this up at my one-man staff meeting and report the result. My whole idea of this was that all my shaves are excellent, it just depends on HOW excellent.

  9. Well, that makes some sense, but I put "excellent" at the bottom because I didn't use any negative descriptions. Just trying to boost my shaves here.

  10. Wow, Yardley all the way.I'm with you on your "vintage"comment.

  12. Congratulations, Myles. I had a hard time figuring out how to hold the razor at first too. That'll get easier. I do recommend learning to use your non-dominant hand. That'll come in handy. Looking forward to reading about your progress.

  18. Where did you buy yours??? It's certainly worth a look from me. When I was a teenager, my main shower wash was "Yardley Soap On A Rope". Great scent.

  19. I don't think we need to worry about what's the best way to hone. There are many ways to hone just like shaving. Pick the one that works best for you and that is all that matters.
