Razor: Razorock SLOC- Mfg 2018> Great milder mid range. Kai SS blade makes it a excellent razor blade combination.
Blade: KAI SS (13) Excellent sharp & smooth blade with longevity(testing) .009" extra wide for greater blade feel.
    Soap: Razorock Lavender
Brush: Yaqi Timberwolf whiskers 24 mm synthetic- excellent for creating lather and has cloud like feel soft tips.
Pre shave: Brush wash my whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 3.
Post shave: Razorock King Louis lavender with witch hazel + a tiny dollop of Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = [IMG] Excellent shave with my RR SLOC & Kai SS blade.

Hope this doesn't duplicate another Shave of the Day thread but I couldn't find one so here goes....

    Rockwell 6S/4
    Treet 7 Days Platinum
    Wholly Kaw Pasha's Pride
    HL Thater best badger
    4711 AS
    Rate - 10/10

I have to make special mention of the Treet 7 Days Platinum blade. I used one a year or so ago in another razor (can't remember which) and found it unremarkable. Decent but nothing to rave about. For some reason in my Rockwell 6S/4 plate this blade stood out like nothing I've used recently. Very sharp, yet smooth. A fantastic performer in the 6S. I was so impressed with the shave it gave I finished up and ordered 100 more. $7.50 USD for 100 shipped is a no-risk buy.

If the Rockwell pictured looks different, it's because I never use the 2 side of the 2/4 plate so I filed off the rails of the 2 side and polished the whole thing and stuck it on a Timeless handle. I shave every day and plate 4 is a perfect balance of comfort and efficiency for me, and it performs well with a wide variety of blades.

    Happy shaves!

I’m lucky enough to have the Homelike Colibri for the next week on a pass around.

I shaved with the 1.50mm baseplate a couple of nights ago and really enjoyed the shave.

It felt like a Carbon Cx ++ plate in terms of face feel and was noticeably more efficient.

I compared the Colibri with the 0.80mm baseplate to the Start fitted with a 0.90mm SB baseplate this evening.

I’ve rated the comparison as follows:

Smoothness: The Start felt ever so slightly smoother.

Blade Feel: The Colibri had just a touch more blade feel.

Efficiency: I couldn’t tell them apart in this respect.

I also had a head shave with the 1.50mm baseplate. It has, as I had hoped, turned out to be an excellent head shaver.
