Thanks, Joe! Medical science is far from exact. I'm just enjoying this hobby too much, and I'll be danged if I'll let SWMBO or any other well-intentioned person stop me from enjoying myself at this point on my journey. Several of my grandsons are convinced that, and this is a direct quote from Ben's oldest son (age 19), " I'm an ornery old curmudgeon who'll just keep doing what he wants". My grandson has the 411 on me in this case. Life is about pushing the boundaries. I've lived my life that way, and plan on continuing to do so.
August 29 G3 Gillette Slim on 9 (wide open, full throttle, is there any other setting?, why do they make adjustable razors anyway?) Feather (1) 30 Day Crew LE: Poculi handle w/APShaveCo 28mm SynBad knot (flat top) Mike's Natural Soap Hungarian Lavender Alum, Thayers WH, USB, Almond Oil & Jeeves of Hudson Street Blood on Steel I enjoyed a nice and easy two-passer this afternoon using my trusty summer gear. The new Feather blade and my birth quarter Slim on 9 did the job admirably. With technique as solid as a rock and maneuvers as sober as a judge, my mug emerged as smooth as polished marble. In other words, it was a typical hillbilly shave under late summer self-quarantine. I hope you all are having a great day!
The problem with these modern computerized engines is that you need highly specialized equipment to diagnose and fix them. Give me a simple old 6 cylinder carbureted engine like my TR6. I don't think I've ever had anyone else service it with the exception of inspections years ago. It's registered as a classic now, so I haven't had an inspection in almost two decades.
That a boy Jeff. Grasp the bull by it’s horns. Living life to the best of our abilities and sometimes trying to exceed it keeps us vital. Ultimately, you are the one that has to make the decisions regarding the various forms of recommendations pertaining to your health etc.
Well, Bill, facts are facts. Let me check to make sure that the sheep sweat (lanolin) won't dissolve the stainless steel. I may need to consider other materials of construction. Can anyone tell me if @MrEE is making anything out of tantalum?
I think you went a bit overboard with the BBS there, Charlie!. You whittled that dome of yours down to practically nothing!
Thanks, Charlie! I really am enjoying this open edge stuff. I really enjoy building the edge. That little jasper stone of mine does one heck of a burnishing job. I do enjoy the results.
Clint, I agree. I don't think it would be a good idea for Swati to use a straight. You should give her the Tradere to use.
