  6. I've thought about this many times but been reluctant to say something but here goes....

Speaking broadly and generally here. Please do not assume that I speak to any individual persons.

I love the personal friendships and comradery that comes with this forum. I don't participate elsewhere, and probably won't.

I decided a good while ago that I would read what I could, "Like Button" things I liked, and respond where tagged or called for.

I chose this to be my method of survival. It is my hope that no one is offended that I have chosen to be less. I love it here, but have my limitations.

I have seen quite a number of folks drop out or go silent after periods of keeping up with a feverish post counts. I have not personally inquired on the decisions of these folks, but I am saddened, because they disappeared and I consider them friends.

I don't fault anyone who chooses to commit to be highly active, and I have never seen anyone here imply that everyone needs to be.

People do need to feel comfortable to come and go as needed. I've heard it said "people come, people go". It was discouraging to hear that.

    Take care my friends.

Terrific save today with the ETHOS lavender. You can see the lather is wonderful
and quite frankly, the protection and slickness I get from this soap is second to none.

  8. It’s not as impossible as you might think, Bill. The right equipment makes all the difference. Gearing is key. I wouldn’t be able to do 60 miles on a single speed.

  9. Glad you enjoyed your shave!

  10. I could go 60 miles............ downhill, both directions.

I had a neighbor who biked about 25 miles each, to and from work, weather permitting, as long as his health permitted. It astounded me.
  11. Nice, Joseph!

  12. Well said, Bill. Thank you for opening up a dialogue. IMO, it is absolutely unnecessary to feel compelled to acknowledge and/or "Thank" a poster, who says something kind about your post. If you wish to, by all means do so, but I think it is not necessary. We are all friends here. If someone doesn't say "thank you" to something kind or encouraging I may have said, I will lose no sleep. This is just my opinion, but, again, I am pleased that the subject has been addressed.
  13. I do not get offended if someone doesn't respond to my posts. I respond to 99% because that's me. Let's embrace the different philosophies and let it be. I miss certain people who have not been here in awhile. I assume life took them in a different direction and it was a season for them to be here. If they come back great! If they don't, then I wish them well with the understanding that they are always welcome here. I think that just about covers it.
  14. I just joined Dr. Squatch Nation( as they call it). Made an order for a "bath soap" that I'll use as a hand-soap(such as I do for Stoylin, Central Texas Soaps). Anyone have anything to say about Doc Squatch?
  15. :happy096:
  16. And now, fresh off my Doc Squatch order, I went to ManHandsSoap and ordered two-one Clean&Shave and one Sweet Cigar.
  17. awesome shave and pics Joseph..that is on classic looking brush..

  18. I miss certain ones, too. But right you are....whatever the reason they aren't here anymore, that's their reason. Course I too would like to see some return.
  19. Excellent shave and photo Joseph.

  20. Great post Bill. I think people should feel free to participate in the thread in whatever manner they decide. They should also feel free to take a break and return whenever.
