  1. My most disappointing day in college occurred during a thermodynamics class where I realized this was not possible. My second most disappointing day occurred when I received the grade for the class. :happy097:
  2. Thank you Joe.

  8. Thanks Andrew.....I hope I'm not repeating this info to you, but when I received my first Stoylin A.S. sample set, Sandpiper became a quick favorite. I almost said "This one is GREAT, I don't need the other 3!". It came out on top, with Gentleman second, Xecutive Man third and Sharp Dressed Man bringing up the rear.
  9. Man, they could really pluck those "banjies"(banjos).

  10. Excellent shave, Joseph! Have you also utilized the grating/revitalizing method for your Yardley (or any other vintage) soap?

  11. Mine was when I ended up laughing while reading a news story over the airwaves about a person killed by a moving train. Thing is, JUST before I began reading it, a friend in the next room made a silly face. Course I felt terrible about it later on.

Ah, but I was so much older then
    I'm younger than that now.

  15. How long did you work in a radio station, Paul, and what did you do? That sounds quite interesting.

A couple of my dear chemical engineering professors loved old Jazz music. One of them (he actually taught my Thermodynamics class and a few others) even had a weekly radio show on our college station. From his obituary: "He was a lifetime lover and supporter of music, and a passionate collector of jazz recordings—especially the music of Duke Ellington—and a long-time host of the radio show, "Time Out for Jazz" on WUOL, whose programs drew on the riches and pleasures of his personal collection." Wonderful memories.
  16. I don't recall you mentioning this.
I have the Exec Man and Sharp Dressed Man aftershaves and they both are great.

  17. That is a nice memory. An aunt of mine loved the Duke's music. And a relative on my mom's side, like your professor, was very keen on jazz music, specifically Dixieland. I never really "worked" in a radio station, except for reading news and sports over the air of my college station. It was fun. You didn't need an FCC license for just news and sports.
  18. ok James sorted ..welcome back, glad to see you..:):bounce015:

  19. Oh, I guess I "liked" all four, but Sandpiper was the easy winner. At the time, some were complaining about a "questionable"(my quote)substance as part of the SDM ingredients. As I recall, Doc Ezlovan was quite aware of it and was doing what he could to kill it off.
