  3. Wow, what a nice view!
Great shave, Pierpaolo. I like the looks of the Halo handle with that razor head.

  4. Looks like a role reversal for sure. In my part of British Columbia, we have had rain for, I believe, 2 days in the past few months. Around here that means forest fires. I went up an old logging road yesterday to get firewood for the lake and got a bird's eye view of a forest fire. This high up would be because of a lightning strike:

Looks like snow on the mountain, but that is smoke.
  5. Wow. Gorgeous photos Pierpaolo.

  11. That’s rough Jason. It feels like we only had a couple of days with no rain during August.

  12. Andrew, was it you who said you really liked Cedars? I thought so, but can't remember exactly. Anyway, here is the view from my deck near Kootenay Lake. Not much of a panorama, but very green:

    Good morning guys!

    Shavette Shave #197
    Parker SRb
    Rockwell 1/2 DE Blade (3)
    Jayaruh #290 Synthetic Brush
    Razorock Classic Shave Soap
Old Spice Aftershave (P and G)

It's the last shave of the month!
I was not looking grubby with a 26hr stubble, but I just wanted to shave. Everything was running smoothly without any problems. I got a nice, smooth, comfortable BBS - shave. Double splashed the Old Spice and it felt really good with just a touch of burn. Have a great day guys! I am off to the gym pretending to be Arnold Schwarzenegger, but in reality, I am more of an overweight version of the 50's and 60's character actor Arnold Stang. Have a great day guys! 20200831_111118.jpg

  14. It is amazing that campfires haven't been banned yet. That usually always happens with long periods of hot and dry here.

  16. Ty Jim!
  17. So sorry about the fires, Jason. You live in a beautiful place. Two of our Whaletown, B.C. friends checked in and sent us photos nearly every day this summer. We are ready to go for a visit once things settle down. Hope you are well, and I pray you get some rain.
  18. Monday's Shave

    1970 Gillette Knack (P4)
    Gillette Platinum (1)
    Omega 49 Boar
    Palmolive Menthol Shaving Cream
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Skin Bracer Aftershave

Easy menthol shave to start the week and finish the month of August.
3 passes with the Knack provided a BBS result, but with a slight bit of irritation to each side of the lower Adam's Apple area. This almost always happens with this razor. I know the irritation was caused on the third pass, as I could sense the signals when I did the (now) usual XTG/ATG hybrid. Had I skipped that pass there, I would have been in the clear. Overall, still a nice shave though.

  20. August 31st
    Canadian New Deluxe w PermaSharp
    Simpson Sovereign/ Resin
    Barrister's Reserve Cool combo
    Thayers
    IMG_5460.JPG
Didn't shave at all this weekend out at the lake so once again had a 72 hour growth to harvest this morning. A fresh PermaSharp in the 'Au' New Deluxe easily took care of it. Loaded the heck out of the hydrated Cool (my newish Reserve method)and had 3 nice passes. Maybe some minor sandpaper on my lower right neck, but that is being really picky. Love this scent, and will always have some of the splash on hand, I think.
It was a weird August for me, as I was only active on the thread for the last half of the month. I had an outstanding month of shaves with fave combos and am looking forward to a few things for September- the focus, the camaraderie, hopefully some shenanigans and hopefully a return to the lathe room.
    Have a great day all!
