  1. Nice Shave Andrew! This is a fun group. Are you sure you can handle SEptember? ;) You know it's not DEcember. What's up with that?

i took a gamble,it was a deal and not far away..
anyhoo, loaded a schick blade ,built a fine sc bignoli lather with our Keith @Enrico custom built brush.fine 2+ pass bbs,no issues, nice and smooth.touch of twisted thayers and armani oud edt to finish..awesome..
my story ..when i started at TSD in Jan. 2017 i was 3 or so months in with gillettes,i was getting good shaves with them but not like i do now.i still did the Paul H routine at 2-3 times a week with dfs results.no complaints, perfect for work as i still had my auto repair business and it wasn't a gentleman's shop.;).i played around for a year or so collecting many razors of many types .after that i decided to get a bit more serious and started following along on the thread here with the occasional sotd..many different folks here then.i think i became a full fledged 30DC member around august/september 2017 i attempted a focus of sorts.next challenge was the OC or tech focus either/or..would have to look back..then the progressing to daily shaving from twice a week due to my shop closure and a service writing/advising position at a buddies shop.made me feel good to look well groomed and clean shaven...the rest is history as they say..moved a bunch of razors along and concentrated on my brit gillette collecting, but still had an itch so i kept a couple of non gilletes, namely a cooper monobuilt,a merkur or 2 that i still don't use and now a valet or 2..i will be honest,i don't miss the Gem/eveready variety.cool looking but ..not for me..i still want a Karve orA Silversmith one day when i stop buying other crap..but another schick or 2 is a cheap indulgence..:)..
that's me in a bombshell. have an excellent rest of Tuesday everyone..:angry021:

    Good afternoon guys!

    Proraso SS and AS

I just wanted a nice, relaxing shave with some tingle. Rocky produced a nice Proraso lather for me to get a good shave. Two passes gave me an IBSS + without any irritation or bloodshed. I could have done touchups, but I decided to call it because it is late in the day and I am not going anywhere that's important. Splashed the Proraso aftershave and experienced very little burn. Have a great day guys! 20200901_143007.jpg

  15. BTW Andrew, the only sad part of joining 30DC in June is having to wait so long for May. That's all I have to say about that.

  17. My TSD/30DC story was very simple. I was browsing the net looking at shaving supplies and forums. I came across this forum and saw all the different threads and thought I can learn more about shaving. Came across this thread and joined the TSD/30DC Dec. 2018. At the time, I had close to 50 open blade shaves. Looking back, the amount of knowledge that I gained has been immense. I thank all of you for your support, camraderie and suggestions that have made my shaves fun and efficient.

  19. I think you’ll like it! It shaves better than my a Schick Prolines.
