  7. In his monthly intro, @Primotenore has asked for a bit of a nostalgic look back ot our joining of the 30DC. I found the 'crew' very early in my Wetshaving journey. I bought my first DE (EJ 89) in October of 2016 and joined TSD in December of 2016 after lurking for those two months. I had used a brush and soap with carts for a few years but really didn't give technique or products much of a thought. I first posted on this thread in January of 2017, but really didn't become an active Crew member for a month or so after that. I also started making brushes right at about this time as well. How I found the site is a little more interesting, perhaps- I was lurking at B & B when on one of the threads there someone said that the knowledge on B & B was the best but that the guys on TSD were way nicer. True story. That 's how I came to be on TSD.
  8. ok ,good to know..:).thank you..
  9. very cool Jason..i didn't realise we had both joined TSD in such close proximity time wise.my date was Jan 02 2017..i had read a similar statement about Bubbles & Boobs as well..:D.this was the first place i joined as well based on that info..i tried a couple of others for a short bit during being here but it's petered out.this place is the best imo..:eatdrink047:

  10. I have a diamond plate to generate a slurry as prescribed.

    No Jnat slurry stones, yet.

I did find very good result with a coticule slurry on a black ark.

My opinion, all stones are individual, perhaps even those from the same master. One must learn to get the best from each.

  11. Myles, you are amazing. I would have washed out on day one...when I was YOUR age.
  12. Glad to always have you on board, Gary.
  13. thank you Joseph..:)
  14. Every Marine wants to go to work with a guy that has no problem running with a full pack carrying a 50lb. log.

    Go for it.
  15. Thanks Joe....finishing off the Stoylin trifecta tomorrow, let's hope for a third straight Super Duper....or better :).

  16. Mr. Cawtuh, I now see what you meant about the DisposeABLES..actually the lack thereof in the Mach 3's. This will make my first try "interesting". DisposeABLES COMPLETE my shaves.
  17. If people want some true 30DC nostalgia, I humbly submit to you the following ridiculously long Shavette Fu:
I liked the scent of Arlington as well, Keith, but also was underwhelmed by the performance. I've heard the soap version is better, have you tried it?
A nice start to the month, Jeff. SE will be an easy focus for you, given where you are at with straights right now, I would think.
Your pics lately have been so original and phenomenal, Pierpaolo! I love the uniqueness of some of your gear as well.
Beautiful, Clint. That brush knot looks like it will be good for emptying soap containers. It might give the 'soap destroyer' a run...
Lovely combo, Mark! SEptember is one of my favourites as well. The focus is a fun one as well. I love the stretch on here from SEptember to Open Comb October to No repeat Nov to Decadent Dec...
Enjoy the next 182, Joe. Today sounded like a great shave. I need to bring out a GEM soon as well.
Every month is SEptember for you, Perry! Love the Gentleman, obviously, and it sounds like a great combo to start it off. Is your school running Band as per usual?
Love the write up, Joseph. That lather still looks more than shiny enough as well.
Another phenomenal photo, Jim. What do you think of the T2? I find it a touch small, loft wise.
Cartels...Yakuza...Helga! I hope Neal is doing well.
Has it only been 3 month, Andrew? You are such a valued member of the group I assumed it was a few months longer.
Great to see you posting, James. I have never tried to 'adjust' my E, G or I. Is it worn, or is there a mechanical breakage?
Love your icon on the bottom of the brushes! It is a very light razor, Evan. Trust me, if you pressed too hard with the SS V3 OC model, you'd remember it!
It cleaned up very nicely, Gary. That soap sounds great. Next TOTC order, I think.
Sounds like a nice shave, Joe. SEptember will be very easy for you, I think!
