    Good morning!

I switched baseplates from the L1 to the L2 this morning. Huge difference in face feel. The L1 has almost no blade feel and I really need to focus on angle control otherwise it just won't shave. The L2 also requires extra focus on angle control so I don't peel off extra layers of skin. A lot of blade feel and it'll scrape when out of the narrow sweet spot. Three passes for near BBS and a little extra warmth from the alum in the hollows of my neck.

    Have a great day!

Ya'll wish me luck, gotta take my road (driving) test Sep, 14. I pretty much drive everywhere by my self, but I am still just a little bit nervous, I'm sure I will do fine though.

The closer of the Stoylin Sandpiper trifecta wasn't as good as the first two. Two (K)nicks, both on each side of North Porcupine Alley, ruined what was otherwise a nice shave. While they looked a little threatening at first, they were rinsed off nicely at the end with cold water They happened on the first pass. Rod Stewart got it right when he sang "The FIRST CUT is the deepest". I'm going out on a limb here by suggesting what he meant was when you get a cut right away, it ruins the rest of..well..the shave(course I don't think he was talkinabout shaving). No problems anywhere else...just pure Stoylin greatness. Most Excellent.

Excellent photo and shave recap. I had a Sabre that I just didn't enjoy. Reading your post today made me realize my problem.

This razor does not appear to be too dissimilar to Tom's DE-Vette, albeit with a safety bar. It probably goes from slicing to scraping very easily.

I like the stiffness of the SE razor blades, but I need to get use to them. Today's shave was better than yesterday but I'm still a little to aggressive. No weepers this time but the Alum and AS burned a little. Still a better shave than I ever got with my Mach 3.

    Happy humpday everyone!
