Cool, Evan! You should try the Feather FAS-10 Carbon Steel blades. They strop beautifully in the Auto Strop.
I doubt I’ll ever do my dome with a straight, Clint! Arthritis in my shoulders prevent it! I wouldn’t be able to maintain the requisite light touch.
Shavette Fu would be proud. Thank you Jason. Only one more day and I’ll change equipment. A rule would be trouble. I’m already bored. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Great shave, Joe! I agree with your rating of your E Type. The Supply also delivers an equivalent head shave.
I envy you, Evan. Before my current little dachshund, I had three Viszlas! I was an active bird hunter for 40 yrs, mostly grouse, pheasant and quail.
I had one of the splashes. Sicily, and it was a disappointment, as was the soap. SCENT only. The soap base is every bit as good as ETHOS.
I worked for many of the networking manufacturers over those years. Turned out I hate system design (chip/board level design). Software even worse. Migrated into product testing, then customer integration. That.....was fun, ended up being the guy they sent everywhere, for every roll out, 110% travel....cool until the kids showed up. I could do some Scrabble....
Superb shave, Keith! I just purchased a NOS Nichigi Tokusen Vintage Japanese Sweedish Steel 6/8 Fullow Hollow Straight made by the Diamond Hayashi Company in Tokyo. Ben said it was a great razor. He is a member of some Japanese a straight razor forum. Looking forward to shaving with it!
Joe, I’m just one of those bozos (Peter Principle) who’s reached his requisite level of incompetence and doesn’t know enough to be envious. Whatever I’m doing seems to work, so I’ll just keep at it!
I am quite amazed at your progression into straight razor shaving. Ben did a great job being an enabler and your go to wingman.
Thanks, Joe! The guy selling these razors claimed your guru, Max Sprecher, honed them on contract. It’s curious, but there really are seven degrees of separation in most human networks!
